By DMZ no doubt. It definitely is not descriptive of him after 4 years of the "Dale Mueller Body Sculpting Regime". It will be interesting to see what 1.5 years of the "Dale Mueller Body Sculpting Regime" will do for JJ.

You ought to hear the nicknames that DMZ has been tagged with over the years; some by Adam, some by others.:sssh:

You'll have to hear them...'cuz if you write them, you'll get BANNED! (LOL)

2 days and no talk on this thread. What is wrong with you people?

What grade is the younger Collinsworth boy in? Does he play football?

Also, I understand that Merrill Hoge has a son who plays football. What grade is he in?

Jack Collinsworth will be a freshman next year. Yes, he definately plays football. Also a good basketball player.

Beau Hoge will be a seventh grader next year. Awesome football player.

Could someone please post some information about the football that kids play prior to their freshman year at Highlands? Is it the Fort Thomas Junior Football League all the way through middle school? Should the program consider starting a Highlands Middle School team?

For most, yes, although a few play elsewhere. Don't know why they would start a middle school team given the success of the program over 50 years.

At what elementary school grade level does organized football begin in Fort Thomas?

Been there Done that... miserable failure. I believe this experiment was done during the dark ages of Duffy. Had two teams... one all 7th graders and the second nearly all 8th graders. Don't know why anyone would tinker with the Ft. Thomas Junior Football League. I think the blame also falls on some of the coaches who took on more than they could handle...

How many starters is the birds losing to graduation? How many of them were two way starters? Did any of them play on special teams?

I sort of see where you are coming from with why tinker with the success of the FTJFL. But the 3 years that I coached the 7th & 8th teams we managed to lose in the Semi's in 1989,Won the Championship in 1990 and lost in the Semi's again to a very talented Holmes team that should of ran the table in 95 but didn't.:D So I wouldn't say is was a complete failure at all. The only problem was, you had between 25-30 players per team and everyone wasn't going to play. Period!!! So, do I think the system is better now...Absolutely, but to say some of the coaches(Which one of them is Highlands current defensive Coordinator) pretty much didn't know what they were doing is completely false. I for one can tell you it was some of the best days of my life giving back to the kids of Ft Thomas. Time will pass and I have been asked several times to help coach by the current commish knowing my past coaching experience but I will have to wait a few more years until my 2 year old starts playing in the FTJFL.
