Covington Holmes 70 Scott County 65

Finally I get someone who agrees with me about Euton. I've been saying it since last season when he was still with Rose Hill.

He should play football, no talent that I've seen yet.

Not sure he's "not talented" (he surely is), but would appear overmatched at a high D1 level.

I really like Guyn but did he share the ball tonight? He is Mr. Offense, but SC has inside strength and the guards will need to learn to feed the post if they haven't done so. I didn't go to the game so please set me straight if I'm wrong. Congrats to Holmes on a significant win.

Holmes more than shut down any inside "strength" SC had. Just too quick for them and better jumpers.

He shared the ball just fine. He was the only one able to put the ball in the basket with any consistency, and he had to look more to score...

Phares being in foul trouble somewhat negated their inside strength. Also, Holmes' length made it tough to get it inside. If Guyn hadn't played as well as he did this would have been over by halftime.

I'm not impressed with either future UK player I've seen this year. If we're banking on those guys then Big Blue is in trouble.

No offense to anyone in the 16th region, because Elliott County is one of the most exciting and talented teams I have seen in the last 5 years. Lets be honest, it is one thing to drop 20 points against Fairview or Boyd County and to do it against the competition Scott County plays every year. The 11th region is by far the best region around. I would even say some 11th region J.V. teams could give a lot of Varsity teams in the 16th region a good run.

Euton is not a bad player at all but too many expectations on him to early in his career. Let us not forget BCG is the same coach that recruits middle school kids. All in all Euton will have a good season and career but he wont get close to what Darius Miller or Stephon Pettigrew did in High School the last two years.

Ohh wait did I mention a high school kid that didnt go to UK to play? Hope thats ok with the big blue faithfull!!

Is it really almost 10:30 and we don't have EtaRho's recap yet? The suspense is killing me!

I did see BCG talking to Bezold. Maybe they were talking about a trade???

1. Bryan Station

2. Holmes

3. Scott County

4. Elliott County (Elliott Co. hasn't played anyone close to the above three. Holmes and Scott Co. have loses to quality teams. Can't base rankings on records, look at who the teams have played).

Congrats to the Bulldogs. Great win.

Elliott County is better than they get credit for, I don't care who they've played.

EtaRho must be in celebration mode. Congrats to the Dawgs. I really think there are 8-10 teams with a legit shot to win state this year. Holmes is definitely in that group.

Being Ranked 4th in the state is plenty of credit.
