Covington Holmes 70 Scott County 65

I'm not sure what you mean, possibly that he should have offered one of the Holmes players a scholly?

That! or wondering if Euton can really play at UK's level. I think he is a good player. However, the 3 games I have watched or listened to Scott County play this season, he has been mid-major at best.

Make sure to get your mandatory cheap shot in on Elliott County. If they are preseason top 3, then they move up when the others lose, correct?

The shot is no different than the ones by Knowitall.

Sure, rank whoever at #1. It doesn't mean a thing until you beat someone legit. Holmes beat Scott County tonight. Who has Elliott beaten this century? Why isn't Jeffersontown mentioned? The fact is, every coach in the state nearly has picked SC number one. We are two weeks in and they already lost.

I'm not certain that SC will win their own region. I think Elliott would beat Scott if they played right now.

Scott County will not make it out of the 11th region!

You are correct. Congratulations to Holmes. There is no gap apparently.

Let me see where I put that crow.

No worries Doc, you know Scott County will rebound, and get better as the season progresses.
Bryan Station, #1 Manual #2 (Trinity game doesn't count, Jenkins was out)

I will say this about Bryan Station, they are actually proving they are a top team. Lose Shelvin Mack and doing what they are doing this early one would have to say coach Champ Ligon is as good as they come. Here's a salute for their coach and team.

J'town is ahead of Manual and then there is Louisville Eastern too. Elliott County is in there along with Holmes, GRC, and Scott County. I'm putting them in no order either. Just teams that have a "chance"

Big win for the BULLDOGS...I was receiving updates often from the game and was hoping they could hold on.

As far as #1, very debatable but I really believe when it comes down to playing the games, it is all about the "match ups"

I think Elliott County matches up better against Scott Co. and would give Elliott the edge there, however, HOLMES is the one team that I think "match up" wise would be the toughest for the Lions to match up with by far...the length, speed, strength, and ability to defend can be the trump card...I was hoping for an Elliott/Holmes match up...but maybe it'll be in Rupp.

Elijah Pittman and the Johnson bros. are big time. Jamel Riley with 5 three's?!!

Congrats to Coach Henley and his team on a great win.

Eastern is looking real tough in the early season.

Elliott can beat Jefferstown and Bryan Station?

Do you honestly think they would go through the 7th or 11th region with just one or two losses? Please tell us they would be a lock to get out of either of those regions.

The reason Scott County has lost two games is because they are playing good teams, not Morgan County and Lewis County.

Riley really changed the game with his 3 point shooting. Pittman was my MVP of the game. He had a double/double and made Euton very uncomfortable with his defense.

Guyn has really come a long way. No doubt he's a high major kid if he keeps improving. Watch out for Manning. For a FROSH he blew me away. Reminds me of Knowles a bit...

I think Manual is top 5, they've played tough. You take a key player out of the lineup like Jenkins and consideration is in order. Trinity is a pretty good team.

Doc, you are too much!!!!! Where do you get these pics.
He was probably thinking, "Man I screwed up!"

I think Lex Cath is a better team right now than Scott Co. But who knows. Also there were a few college coaches at the game. Billy G and Sean Miller both in attendance from what I saw. Billy G spent about a half hour speaking to Arrez Henderson, who is now at Cincy St Junior College. Also he spent a few minutes with parents from Holmes. I'm assuming Ricardo or Elijiah's family. One thing to say about Pittman....He's the longest player I've seen in the 9th in some time.

As for the other UK recruit, WOW!!! He has a lot to work on. A LOT. Does this kid think he's going to be a SF in college. If this is so someon needs to get that out of his head. All he worked on before the game and at halftime was his 3pt shot. When took the 3pt shot in the game, it was awful. This kid needs to work in the paint and learned to get physical. Needs better footwork and at this time there is no way he should be getting all this hype.

No doubt the best all around player on the floor was Guyn. Very nice player. Also #32, Manning I believe. The freshman is going to be a stud.

Congrats to a very good Holmes team. Keep up work and you'll be back in the state tourny in no time.
