I had to send him a private message last week when he said LexCath would beat us because I wanted to know why he felt that way because I knew from reading his previous posts that he knows what he is talking about. He made me nervous when he picked LexCath.

 

I thought Lex Cath would win also. Boyle is the better team glad to see that these two teams are getting to play. I picked Lex Cath because of the first game being so close thought that their schedule may have helped them prepare but it may have hurt them.

Let's see, two undefeated teams,with great Coaches,great fans with great support great Defenses going head to head. It doesn't get any better then this. Good luck to both teams,but as a Boyle Co. fan,I have to pull for my beloved Rebels. Just hope the Rebels can win this one.GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I agree with you super. I also think that, with both defences being that good it might just come down to one of the defences scoring to win the game.

 

Can anybody tell me how many career wins both coaches have?

Commander I believe you. I also think that a muddy game can hurt Bell just as much as Boyle. IMO Boyle and Bell are a mirrior image this year. Both teams like to run the ball, but will pass if forced to. If the game becomes a defensive battle, I would want my fieldgoal kicker to be able to plant his foot on stable ground. Dry field or wet (muddy field) both teams will have the same footing.

 

Both teams will line up and lock horns and may the bests team come out on top. :thumb:

 

Merrick will be able to kick it even if it is muddy and he can do an offside kick to when you will least expect it. Usually his kicks go to the endzone so when he does an offside kick it throws you off and Bell recovers the ball. Neato

Its been a while since I drove to Danville from Bell Co, but I woud say its around a 2 hour drive. Also its very easy to find. Just take I-75 South at London then get off exit 29 at Corbin taking 25 E South until you get to Log Mountain and Bell County High School.

 

Actually go to mt Vernon then head south on 75 to exit 29 Corbin. Turn left and go straight for about 40 miles. Stop in Corbin and eat if you want to sit down otherwise, about all you'll find is fast food.

Plenty of time. less than 2 hours from Danville to Pineville. Closer to 1 1/2 hours if you push down the gas pedal.

 

No sandbagging just telling the truth. Bell played very......tenative the other night. If that happens again they will be turning in the pads for sure.

 

 

LC was a very good team and I thought they might have pulled it off. Boyle got a few big plays that I did not think they would against LC.

Bell I think has 6 on offense and 4 on defense that are seniors.

This should be a TREMENDOUS game without a doubt. I havent seen Boyle or Bell this year, but from all that I have heard and read I would have to believe the home field advantage gives Bell a slight edge. Before last week I would have thought Bell had a solid edge, but after barely surviving KC I have to really wonder. Dudley is a tremendous coach however and it doesnt seem like Boyle has the kind of game breaking speed Catholic had last year and that speed was what beat Bell, so I would guess:

 

Bell 24

Boyle 21

 

Merrick wins it with a field goal!!!

Mud will not bother Merrick. A year ago on a muddy field he was kicking 40 yarders with one step to help with the footing. Kickoff's could be a little more challenging maybe he will just reach the endzone instead of the back of it.

 

Monte is something special when he was a Soph. he had tendinitises in his right knee and could not kick so he kicked left footed that week and was 4 of 5 I think on PAT's. 1 was blocked.

Bell County can be a difficult place to play, one of the most hostile venues in the state. Bolye simply has better athletes with more speed, plus they are better coached.

 

How can you say that Boyle is better coached? Coach Hilton has over 300 wins and is one of the greatest high school coaches of all time in Kentucky. Bell has handled speed all year in Garrard, Mccreary Central and others. How many teams have Boyle played that runs a true double tight wishbone set. The answer is zero. Bell will be better prepared and will get some key calls with the game on Log Mountain. I see Bell winning easliy 45-14
