4A: Bell County Bobcats (14-0) vs. Bullitt East Chargers (9-5) Predictions
Question: Would Bell winning their second state title take away from the luster of the '91 State Championship? I know it may be an odd question, but I was just wondering what most think (also, I'm not presuming anything, just curious).... As for the game, I don't really see anyone stating any stats, records, or weapons that suggests Bullitt is going to pose a real serious threat to Bell County.

I don't really know much about Bullitt East. Can someone please shed some light? I know their 9-5 record doesn't really sound too intimidating.

4A: Boyle County Rebels (13-0) at Bell County Bobcats (13-0)
Hey guys, this is a really good thread. Way to be informative and on topic.... I've got a question: I won't be able to attend the game (I live 400 miles away and have to work:cry:). Does anyone know if I would be able to watch a stream of the game online? If not, can someone please provide a link to the online radio broadcast? Thanks and Go Bobcats! :thumb:

If Bell defeats Rock, where would Bell play the following week? I'll be down there for Thanksgiving, and would like to watch my alma mater in action. Also, who is the likely matchup? Thanks.

Online Broadcast of Bell/Rock game
Thanks a lot fellas! Does anyone know if any radio stations with announcers from Bell broadcast online? Not to say that Jason and Chris don't do a great job. Just asking.

Online Broadcast of Bell/Rock game
Hey guys, since I live in Indianapolis, I won't be able to make the trip down home to watch the game tomorrow night. Can someone please provide me a link to a radio station which broadcasts the game over the internet? I'd greatly appreciate that! Oh, and, GO BELL!

Bell County 21 Knox Central 0
That's hard to believe coach Mills would be that way towards Bell. He used to coach there, and I would have thought was still close to many of the coaches. ... I'd like to know more about what exactly happened.

2008 Bell County
That's correct - my apologies. I believe there is an incoming freshman which may see playing time a tailback, but his name escapes me now.

2008 Bell County
Well, the Cats lost starting QB Kyle Nelson and RB T.R. Christopher among others (not sure the numbers.) I do know that from speaking with coach Hilton that Shawnta Zachery will most likely be the primary signal caller. Also, Spencer Greer will be a solid running back, with some good backups - including incoming freshman Dominic Carton. I'm not too sure how the Defense will be this season - as I'm anxious to hear BellAlumni40 and Log Mountain Boy comment. In my opinion, should be yet another solid team - and promising year for the Bobcats.

When Will Middlesboro schedule Bell County again?
Folks, I just believe that it comes down to coach Roark (M'boro) not wanting to play Dudley because A: He doesn't like Dudley personally and B: He was tired of getting beaten so badly by Bell year in and year out. .. His official quote (off the record) was that his team was not gaining anything by playing Bell. I'm more familiar with the M'boro/Bell situation, than with the Corbin/Bell situation. Being the Sports Editor in Bell County for a few years gave me some insight into both county coaches. Let's just say there's no love loss from Roark toward Coach Hilton. ... Funny thing is - You'd think coach Hilton would hold a grudge after Bell beat M'boro in '91 and soon as the game was over M'boro called the KHSAA to report an ineligible player Bell was using (David Daniels). Although David didn't play much (he was a safety), coach Roark knew about the situation well before the season even began. But when the clock ran out, and Bell came away with a victory, Kenny used that card he had up his sleeve to technically get a victory when he couldn't get one on the field. Now, the point of that story is just to say if anyone should hold a grudge - it would be Bell's staff. Anyway, I hope for the sake of the kids and the community that someone overrides the situation and reinstates the rivalry very, very soon.

When Will Middlesboro schedule Bell County again?
I was just wandering when coach Roark (M'boro) will stop hurting the community and gain the courage to face the Bobcats and put them on the schedule again?... And I guess the same exact question should be posed to coach Jewell of Corbin. Why in the world would Middlesboro and Corbin refuse to play Bell County? The obvious reason to the general public is that those two schools (mostly M'boro) were tired of getting beat so badly by Bell County. Although, in the case of Corbin, I'm not so sure. Corbin/Bell was normally competitive. It's just upsetting that Bell County suffered decades of defeat at the hands of the Jackets and Hounds, yet they never refused to go onto the field of battle. Why are these coaches teaching their kids that when the challenge seems too tough, just simply 'quit' or 'run away' from the challenge? It's just not a good lesson to teach your kids. Plus, it's great for the community. I'm just disappointed, and would like to see someone at these two schools see the important lessons which can be gained, and suit up and play the Bobcats. To wait until Coach Hilton leaves it just plain 'ol chicken crap if you ask me. Come on guys, let's play it out on the field!!

2008 Pineville
Not to deter from thread topic - but just to answer the question about Shawn Woolum. He graduated from Bell in 1994. He transferred into Bell from Pineville his senior season ('94). Also, Enoch Huff was from Middlesboro. He played up at Bell and I believe graduated around '97. As for Pineville, I agree with manimal - I feel they need to focus on weight lifting and retaining their players. They're just in a tough area. If the talent is good enough, it is likely they will go somewhere else (Although not always the case.)

Lexington Catholic (10-2) at Bell County (12-0) 4A Predictions
I don't think Log Mountain Boy was taking that kind of approach..... Speaking of playoff victories - How many times has Rock beat Bell in the playoffs? Twice? 2-1 is not too much of a lopsided affair. I know Rock has had some really, really great teams in the past, and whenever the Rockets have won the Region, I know most Bobcat fans wished the Rock the best of luck against the rest of the state. ..... Also, I don't think the tides are changin'. They've changed about four times since 2001 already, and neither team has a bunch of seniors this year, so I don't expect a big swing in dominance next season.... Also, 3 wishes, do you mind to PM me the Larkey quote? He's been nothing but kind to me when I've interviewed him in the past - especially when Rockcastle hosted the 13th Region boys basketball tournament. (He unlocked the hospitality room for me!!) However, he did decline comment after one loss to Bell County in '02. I would just be interested to know the comment mentioned in this thread. Thank you very much.

Lexington Catholic (10-2) at Bell County (12-0) 4A Predictions
Thank you. That's quite a few players. So, I assume most of their starters are Seniors since I believe they have 36? Wow. That will be a big obstacle for Bell to overcome. Glad the game is at Log Mountain.

I agree LMB - By the way (not to get off track), what did Larkey say after the 1st Bell game?

Lexington Catholic (10-2) at Bell County (12-0) 4A Predictions
Sorry, don't want to derail this thread..... Does anyone know the enrollment of Lex. Cath vs. Bell's enrollment? I was just wandering how many LC would dress, and if conditioning would be a factor.
