I agree with a lot of the posts on here and think it is one of the better game threads I have been on. But saying Bell will get out coached is a little far-fetched. Coach Hilton is one of the best all-time and he has a great staff. With numerous past Head Coaches from winning programs and he has a few future HC's somewere down the line on his staff.

I can understand you saying the have better athletes and more speed but better coached come on. Evidently you don't know what coach you are talking about Bell has one that over 300 wins.

 

This is the only reason I voted for Bell Co I think the coach is the difference in this game. I played at Bourbon co and have seen what coach Hilton can do fist year at Bourbon Co= State champs!!!

This should be a TREMENDOUS game without a doubt. I havent seen Boyle or Bell this year, but from all that I have heard and read I would have to believe the home field advantage gives Bell a slight edge. Before last week I would have thought Bell had a solid edge, but after barely surviving KC I have to really wonder. Dudley is a tremendous coach however and it doesnt seem like Boyle has the kind of game breaking speed Catholic had last year and that speed was what beat Bell, so I would guess:

How can you say that Boyle is better coached? Coach Hilton has over 300 wins and is one of the greatest high school coaches of all time in Kentucky. Bell has handled speed all year in Garrard, Mccreary Central and others. How many teams have Boyle played that runs a true double tight wishbone set. The answer is zero. Bell will be better prepared and will get some key calls with the game on Log Mountain. I see Bell winning easliy 45-14

Both teams together probably won't score a total of 45 points. Someone stated earlier that first to 21 points wins this game and I agree with that more so than 45-14. That's a good one. I am not saying Bell won't win, but they will not destroy us like that in the process.

Watch #2 on Friday night. I would be surprised if Bell has faced a better rb this year. He is faster than he is given credit for and his ability to follow his blocks and make the right cut at the right time is what makes him a great back. If he doesn't have at least 1 game breaking run, I'll be surprised. I am not saying Bell's defense isn't good enough to stop him, I am just saying I believe Rees is that good. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#2 is very good. I would think the one on Bell's schedule that is similar is Rock's Casey Hayes he is very good. Great quickness and breaks tackles by the boat load then on defense he made tackles by the boat load. Whitley had 3 very good back as well none of them were as quick as Mcshara though although they were much bigger.

 

#2 for Bell is not bad either.

I have seen both teams play. However, I must preface my prediction by saying I saw Boyle Co. last week and Bell Co. in the Death Valley Bowl. A lot can change in a seasons time.

 

Boyle Co. will win this game by at least a TD. I think they have played better competition and have a more versitale offense. I agree with the comments about BC's passing attack. It is not where it usually is. However, Bell never seems to have a passing game. I do think it will be a low scoring game, and turnovers will tell the story.

 

Another thing, I think people are missing, is that French is a conservative coach. If he gets a lead, he is going to play contain defense and pound the clock away. Bell Co. is the type of team that can line up, and smash it down a defenses throat.

 

There have been a lot of references to Bell crushing LC last year, when French was there. And it is true, however the LC improved A LOT during the season. I would argue that they were the best team in this area the past two seasons at the end of the year, under French. His teams always improve, as do Hilton's. This will be a classic, IMO. Plus you can't compare what coaches do at other schools to their current situation. It is apples and oranges. Boyle County has been a success for the past decade now.

In regards to the post made by Cannonball, I don't think he is a Boyle fan. Maybe someone that doesn't like Bell is all. Us Rebels love our coach and his staff as much as you Bobcats love yours. I think that's pretty clear. I'll say the better team wins which is, IMO Boyle.:dancingpa

The best of the rest would have to be Henry Clay who was not very good and missing a bunch of starters against Boyle. Someone explain how their schedule was better than Bell's? How did it prepare them more? I think some of it is smoke and mirrors. I see no Knox Central's, or maybe even any Rock's and for sure no Whitley's?????

They better be b/c they did not bring it last Friday night. I think the O-line faces the biggest challenge in this game. They did not show well this past Friday but get a chance at redemption this week.
