I have seen both teams play. However, I must preface my prediction by saying I saw Boyle Co. last week and Bell Co. in the Death Valley Bowl. A lot can change in a seasons time.

 

Boyle Co. will win this game by at least a TD. I think they have played better competition and have a more versitale offense. I agree with the comments about BC's passing attack. It is not where it usually is. However, Bell never seems to have a passing game. I do think it will be a low scoring game, and turnovers will tell the story.

 

Another thing, I think people are missing, is that French is a conservative coach. If he gets a lead, he is going to play contain defense and pound the clock away. Bell Co. is the type of team that can line up, and smash it down a defenses throat.

 

There have been a lot of references to Bell crushing LC last year, when French was there. And it is true, however the LC improved A LOT during the season. I would argue that they were the best team in this area the past two seasons at the end of the year, under French. His teams always improve, as do Hilton's. This will be a classic, IMO. Plus you can't compare what coaches do at other schools to their current situation. It is apples and oranges. Boyle County has been a success for the past decade now.

I like hearing what you have to say Brad because you make sense. Yes, Aumiller is a very aggressive defensive tackle, while he isn't very big he has the biggest motor I have ever seen. Not taking anything away from this Bell County offensive line but no matter the size is of the guy in from of him he can most definitely knock you back. He is an animal and I expect him to be major factor in this game. I hear good things of this running back from Bell County. What's the stats on this kid?

Not sure which RB you are talking about? We have a bunch all capable of carrying the mail. I think we have had 4 or 5 backs this year with over a 100 yards atleast once in different games.

I believe that Bell has at least 2 great defensive lineman that are as good if not better. We will find out very soon who the best is.

Bell is tough, I dont know much about Boyle County but they better bring their "A" game against the bobcats of bell!

I'll believe Bell Bobcat, when you say that Howard is strong and massive. But Grant has been up against one player that is I believe just as strong. I think his name was Simpson from Henry Clay. He was ranked one of the the best 5 centers in the Nation, and I think he held his own in that game. Simpson is about 6'4"and weights about 310.

 

I'm not taking anything away from the Howard kid. I just have not heard anything about him yet. But I guess we will Friday. If he is that big and strong then Kentucky should be looking at him.

Howard is a junior right now. He was getting starts in his freshman year, which usually doesnt happen at Bell Co. Bell may be caught off guard at first by the Aumiller kids motor I've been hearing about, but I beleive they'll adjust. And to the post about the Back from Bell, your probably referring to Greer. Dont be fooled though, he's topped 1,000 on the season and has a ton of TD's, but theres 2 other backs over 500 on the season, and a very capable passing attack that will surprise a few people to take pressure off the backs, I can't wait for this one:dancingpa

Thanks, I didn't know that much about him. If his a junior, then he should be even better next year. Grant is a junior also, so they may meet again next year.:thumb:

Howard is very close to 6'4 and well over 300 I beleive. Very strong kid, but size doesnt always tell the story. I think this one will be another nail bitter. But keep in mind, the Bell Co. defense is very capable of creating turnovers, and are very solid tacklers. The MacShara kid from Boyle sounds like a great playmaker, but just to point another thing out, this Bell D has faced 5 backs, maybe more by now the last stat report I saw was Nov 9, who had rushed for over 1,000 yards on the season. Of those rushers, only 1 or 2 was able to make it to the endzone. Prior to the Knox Central game the Bell D had only given up 1 rushing touchdown on the year and that was to a Whitley County back up late. This Bell D is nothing to be taken lightly, I beleive they may be able to cancel MacShara out. But you never know, Shawn Robbins was'nt supposed to make it past the 50 yard line against highlands in '04. The more I think of this one, the more eager I get:D
