Actually I think Bell not punting much this season may hurt them in this big game. If you have watched Boyle over the years one trait they have always had going back into their title runs is they COME AFTER YOUR PUNTS. If a long snapper has not had many reps snapping in games this season one average snap may cost you a football game against Boyle cause they are coming. Their long snapper this week will snap more this week then they have all season.

 

The Boyle special teams are very good. Golfer ,you are bringing up a good point. When Dunbar played Boyle they NEVER got off a good punt because of the pressure. Also they return kicks extremely well. This may very well be the difference in this one.

Yes, Merrick played. If you attended the game I'm not sure how you didnt notice him. KC had maybe 1 or 2 returns on kickoffs, neither really going for much that i can remember. and he pinned them deep a couple times on punts, had 2 long field goals that proved to be the difference in the game, as both teams scored 2 TD's.

Keep in mind that Dudley and the Bobcats took it to his great Lincoln Co. team before you whisked Coach French away! Hilton certainly wasn't outcoached that night at the Death Valley Bowl 2007.

 

If Lincoln had played Bell late in the season that year instead the beginning of the season I believe it would have been a different outcome. Lincoln improved greatly after that.

Well in the Regular Season that may hold some truth to it but not in the playoffs. I remember a lot of Highlands fans complaining about homer calls in 04 when they were at Bell but most people dont know that refs in the playoffs are assigned from different parts of the state to do these games. I don't know who will be the refs at this game but they will not be homers.

None of the remarks I hear about the field being hosed down by fire trucks before big games are true are they? I have heard so many "be careful in the mountains, they'll cheat you" stories that I simply do not believe anything I hear anymore. I had to mention the fire truck hosing the field down though. I thought that was the best one.

But their will probably be a firetruck there haha, i go to church with a woman whose got a part in bringing it. please lets not get on the topic of field conditions, it rains all the time in Bell County, is actually raining now and supposed to throughout the week turning into snow Thursday-Sunday, atleast the last time i checked the news thats what they said. The best team will win this game, and its gonna be a good one, no need to worry about being "cheated" haha:lol:

It's going to be a great playoff atmosphere up on Log Mtn. come Friday. I cant wait for this one either. i expect a fight from start to finish, the Bell Co. team is very driven, probably the best Bell team ever and I'm sure they dont want to end this run yet, and Boyle im sure is ready to return to the top of the class...its gonna be a good one :fight:

No. I was watching the Rebels friday. It usually takes me a week or so to learn the names of our opponents. Is this the kid that has been kicking the 50-60 yrd field goals? Hopefully Boyle won't be recieving too many kickoffs, and plenty of punts;) I do hope it's good weather this friday though. I can deal with the cold, but i'd love both our teams to have a clear night to smash it out. I'll be their early, how are the visitors stands?

Yes, that'd be him. He's just as dangerous punting, theres several videos of him on youtube. And in my opinion Bell has one of the best visitors sides around, seeing as how its identical to the home side just without the press box.
