I don't know who is really good but here's the best Boyle has played this year:

 

Danville 7-3, Henry Clay 6-4, Lafayette 7-3, Lex Cath 6-4, and Mercer & Southwestern were both 5-5.

 

Bell's top opponents went like this in the regular season:

 

Whitley County 9-1, Sheldon Clark 8-2, Rockastle and Knox Central 7-3. Don't know the record from Church Hill in TN.

 

If you ask me both schedules sound about even. Both have faced some good teams.

 

Sorry Hatz, you are correct. Pretty even. This one will be settled on the field Friday night and not on previous games or appearnces in semi final games whether it be last year or the past 10 years.

 

I still like Boyle County in a close one. Go Rebels!

The records, at this point, doesn't matter. The winner of this game will be your 2008 State Champion. No other team can compete with either Bell or Boyle. This game will be your championship game without a doubt.

Get off on the 1st Corbin exit, turn left at the end of the off ramp. Stay on 25E through Pineville. The HS is on the left about 3 miles outside of town on 25.

I've been to the Bell/Knox County area several times over the past few months checking on coal properties with a client of mine and there are several really nice high school campuses on the drive down 25E; Lynn Camp, Knox Central, Bell all of which look to be fairly new (at least they look that way from the road).

Sounds like it. But I'd have to agree with PurplePride and say that mapquest will drive you crazy trying to find Bell County High School.:irked:

That would be saying a lot since those teams gave up averages on the ground of:

 

1999 55 yds per game

2000 50 yds per game

2001 40 yds per game

2002 35 yds per game

 

What are the stats for what Boyle gives up in rushing per game this year?

 

 

(BTW, the above stats are averages based on what they gave up going into the finals on the KHSAA website and factored changes that might have caused a flux from the Finals game.)

 

I'm not 100% but I don't think it's to much of a difference Hatz. Nobody has had to much of a rushing attack this year against Boyle. Boye has gotten a lot of negitive yardage to bring the averages down.

I would hit Shiloh's Roadhouse in London, right off the 41 Exit, especially since most of you will take Exit 29 toward Middlesboro. Its about 5 minutes out of the way, but off Exit 25 (south Corbin) there is an Applebees and a Dino's Italian that is good as well. If you do that, you can get back to 25 E (toward Bell Co) by taking a right at the 1st traffic light past Applebees. There isn't much dfference time wise, since Exit 29 has a multitude of traffic lights through north Corbin. In my opinion, those are the three top choices for eats in the area.

Bell's field is not hard to find at all, the lights have the whole mountain lit up. But I advise you, be there early, parking will be a mess. I cannot wait for this one, Friday cant get here soon enough. Sounds to me as if we may be in for a defensive struggle, Bell is very stingy when it comes to points, seems as if Boyle is as well. Cannot wait to see this one
