Does anyone have directions on how to get to Bell County High School? Mapquest is driving me nuts:madman:

 

It's right on 25E. I pass by it coming from VA everytime I journey home to Danville or back to VA.

French already has a pretty impressive win count. Not close to 300 by any means but this season did put him in the top 15 all time wins by Kentucky coaches. 218 is impressive and that number will continue to grow at a rapid pace now that he has landed at Boyle.

 

My mistake. I thought his win count was at 200. 218 is very good and even better is the fact that every program he left was in better shape than when he found it.

Get off on the 1st Corbin exit, turn left at the end of the off ramp. Stay on 25E through Pineville. The HS is on the left about 3 miles outside of town on 25.

By just scores you'd have to say the Knights because even though Lafayette was within 7 points, the Knights are the only ones who seemed poised to be able to win a game vs. the Rebels in the end.

So far, Lexington Catholic. That is the only team I have felt could have beaten us. I always felt we were better than LexCath, but I felt like if we made mistakes we would lose, where as it seemed like we could make mistakes against other teams and still win decisively. We played awful against Lafayette, but Lafayette wasn't that good to me even though we only won by 7. I think you guys will prove to be the best team we have faced all year and I expect the winner of this game to have a much easier game in Louisville.

I would have said Whitley until last night. Knox seems to be the best. Both are pretty good teams. Rock was not as bad as we made them appear.

 

I agree with PurplePride's assesment that whoever wins will have to be a heavy favorite in the pizza box. :thumb: Hopefully the team that survives comes out healthy.

From everything that I have heard this is going to be a dandy of a football game. Bell has a very good defence, I mean if you have only allowed 32 points in 3 games. They run the ball well and from everything I have read in the paper they have a good passing attack.

 

Boyle has the best run defence I have seen. That encludes the when they won the state 5 times. Bell will have a hard time running on Boyle and that means they will have to pass. Boyle pass def. as the mind set of bend but don't break.

2001 40 yds per game

Danville had a good team and I would put Danville ahead of Mercer, but not by much. I feel like Danville quit in the 3rd quarter which created the lopsided score. Mercer was good but they are one dimensional in a bad way. No passing game whatsoever and questionable play calling led to their demise. Henry Clay was big, but our defense was too much for them. I didn't go to the Warren Central game, but as a Bowling Green alum, it would be best for me to just say we were better than Warren Central.:fire::devil:

I have had a hard time finding this year's stats. I haven't looked recently, but as of last week Boyle hadn't reported stats to khsaa since the first week of October.

 

I would be surprised if they have given up more than 50 yards per game on the ground.

I don't have that stat on me at this time but I bet Rebel knows.

 

The def. this year seems to fly to the ball quicker (all 11 players).

I would hazard a guess that those are the only years. Mr. Network would be able to recall if Lincoln and Bell played any other time in French's tenure.

 

I often hear about coaching matchups but the reality is that the players have much more to do with a coaches wins vs. another team. I saw French do wonders with very limited talent at Mercer County for 10 years. I'm sure Dudley's example at Bourbon County would be another one where he had a phenomonal run for the '97 title in which everything came together just right on the playoffs.
