Im not going to predict or talk about how good Frankfort is or how good Beechwood is...Im just going to say Good luck to the Panthers, it will be a cold one Friday...Beechwood we have a lot of respect for your kids and football program, I am interested to see how this one turns out.

Both teams are great. Should be a good one.

I am going with the Tigers.

I see a huge difference in attitude between this year's Frankfort's team and last years. IMO, they are a lot tougher mentally; they BELIEVE they can win every game and they do not give up. I am picking Frankfort as the upset special in a close one.

Going to be a good game and another cold night. Can't remember a game I was more chilled than last year's damp, misty night.

Beechwood has only given up more than 20 points only twice this year:

 

31 in a loss to Newcath and 21 in a win over Covcath.

 

Frankfort will move the ball and score, but I don't think they score more than 20.

I will be the first to admit and say Beechwood is the Cream of Class A football. They have a great program from top to bottom. This years team has all the tools needed to win another Championship.

 

As for FHS looking forward to playing Beechwood, this is true. Because FHS understands to be the best you have to beat the best. We all know Beechwood is the best. Frankfort has been working hard for the last six seasons to build their program as an elite program. They like playing the Danvilles & Beechwoods because they want that same rich tradition and respect. So it is not meant to be disrespectful to Beechwood.

 

As for this years game; It is David vs Goliath. Frankfort hopes the have enough stones to slay the mighty giant.

If It was ever a time where the Panthers must play mistake free it is this coming Friday. I know Beechwood is this bigger stronger... well some say faster football team but you got to have some pride about yourself, yea they're Beechwood But We are Frankfort!!! Nah we haven’t won a state Championship but you should still think you are the best, "Cream of the crop" not in a cocky way but in a way of confidence to strive to be the best.

As Eta Rho posted, scoring more than 20 on Beechwood's D is an accomplishment itself. Beechwood has size and speed on defense and are in the top 10 in the state in scoring defense. NewCath scored 31 points but they had one TD drive against the defense. Two long punt returns and a fumble that they ran in for a TD led to their points. That said, there isn't one Beechwood fan that thinks this is an easy match. Beechwood has a LOT of respect for Frankfort and if anyone says diffferent, they aren't part of the Beechwood football family. As a Frankfort fan posted, to be the best you have to beat the best. Beechwood is looking forward to the challenge.

After getting to watch both teams--I will say that Beechwood wins in a much closer game than predicted. #9 Q. Weaver is the real deal. Frankfort has a very fast defensive team. I think the difference in the game is the monster line on both sides of the ball for the Beechwood Tigers. I would love to be able to see this one. Good Luck to both teams.

Got to pull for the Panthers in this one. Always good to see the king dethroned. However, Frankfort better play mistake free (literally) football to have a chance in this one imo.

When Dayton played Frankfort I completely underestimated the talent Frankfort had on their team because of me never having the opportunity to watch them play. They played well as a team and dominated the game against Dayton. With that said, Beechwood is a totally different beast and Frankfort wont be able to dominate the line of scrimmage like they did against Dayton. Weaver is an excellent back and will put up decent numbers, but Beechwoods line is too big and strong for him to dominate the game. I think it will be close at half, but Beechwood will pull away in the second half.
