I say we move Beechwood into 6A. Maybe they won't destroy teams so bad there.

No mocking here what so ever. If Beechwood is that good, then I agree they need to play a higher class schedule. From what I hear 6A would fit them perfectly. With an exception of Trinity and St. Xavier of course..

It doesnt better your team by beating everybody year after year, all I'm sayin is move up, or play a more challenge schedule. An quite personally, it wouldnt bother me if they went 5-5

I understand what you are saying and as a fan of I would want them to compete on the highest level. But if you think about the number of state titles you would win, it make sense to stay in Class A. Will they win every year? More than likely LCA, Mayfield will sneak up on them once every ten years. But the other 9 will belong to Beechwood.

It always amazes me that people say Beechwood should move up. Beechwood is a small school. Yes, class A was much better with great competetion like NCC and Danville......So the answer is to get rid of another great program so that someone else can win?:creepy: What value would a class A state title be if the better schools had to "move up" because they were good? Doesnt the term Sate Champs mean you are the best in your class?

 

Wouldnt it be a better idea to build programs to compete with Beechwood rather than eliminating another tough competetor? LCA has done it and so has Raceland. Other schools can too. Undoubtedly Frankfort will be waiting to prove themselves. That is what it is all about.

I understand and agree with your statement. NCC could have stayed in class A and none of this would have been a problem because NCC would be winning year after year. But they wanted to win the next level also.

I agree with you that others need to work on building their programs. Yes, it would really kill any respect Class A has. I was just saying Beechwood would be nuts to move up because they are such a power and currently owns Class A.

Every year, even with NCC in A, Beechwood would have a "chance" to win state! Some years it will be Beechwood, and some it will be NCC.

No chance? NCC beat us pretty well during the regular season, true.

 

Beechwood and NCC have a long history of beating each other up on the way to state.. One won/lost game NEVER meant "no chance" for either team.
