I know you're kidding around but you need to find the LCA thread if you are looking to post a score like that. I don't think Beechwood has given up 87 points all season.

Frankfort does not have the line play to with Beechwood. Their line can not hold blocks for long this will hurt them now that they are playing a team that can match thier quickness. On defense their lineman other than Smith will not be able to get a push and that will give Beechood running room.

Frankfort will need more than one option on offense to beat Beechwood. Beechwood's defense is very good, better than last year's in my opinion. Beechwood has a LOT of speed. By that I mean a half dozen speed guys, including one tackle that is fast enough to run down most backs. I am not saying Quan won't break one but one player, no matter how great, will not beat Beechwood. Last year Frankfort had Quan and E.J. Fields and they didn't have enough speed, and this year's Beechwood defense is faster than last year's. I am looking forward to seeing Quan Weaver. He was impressive last year and I am sure he is better this year.

From the far western portion of the state...good luck to both teams Friday night...hopefully will get a chance to see one of you next Friday for the state semi's. Your game would be one that I would pay to see if I was not working a game of my own this Friday night.

Honestly guys.... Quan is very good, but he has not really had to run the ball versus a good team other than maybe Danville and a mediocre Franklin County Team. He has not been tested like beechwood will test him.

Well throw it out there .How big and fast is he? Cov Cath had some big guys with speed,Van Sant(sp?), for one.Dixie was not bad either if I remember correctly.The young man from Ludlow is a pretty good back also.Keep in mind also ,alot of these guys played against LCA last year .

While the focus is going to be on Quan, I think that same statement applies for the TEAM. This will be the best team Frankfort has played all year. The Frankfort line will be tested. The backs will be tested. The coaches will be tested. It will take top effort, perfect execution, a lot of heart, and maybe a little luck to win this one.

As Eta Rho posted, scoring more than 20 on Beechwood's D is an accomplishment itself. Beechwood has size and speed on defense and are in the top 10 in the state in scoring defense. NewCath scored 31 points but they had one TD drive against the defense. Two long punt returns and a fumble that they ran in for a TD led to their points. That said, there isn't one Beechwood fan that thinks this is an easy match. Beechwood has a LOT of respect for Frankfort and if anyone says diffferent, they aren't part of the Beechwood football family. As a Frankfort fan posted, to be the best you have to beat the best. Beechwood is looking forward to the challenge.

 

 

Beechwood is no doubt tough but you do have to look at Beechwoods schedule. I dont think that many teams they played are above .500 and one of those teams they lost to.

 

We are looking forward to the challenge and humbly look forward Friday.

 

This one will be no walk in the park for either team.
