I saw one post on another thread where Frankfort has been waiting and wishing for this game to happen since last year's semi final game. I have always heard this since I was a little boy "Becareful what you wish for"

After getting to watch both teams--I will say that Beechwood wins in a much closer game than predicted. #9 Q. Weaver is the real deal. Frankfort has a very fast defensive team. I think the difference in the game is the monster line on both sides of the ball for the Beechwood Tigers. I would love to be able to see this one. Good Luck to both teams.

I will be the first to admit and say Beechwood is the Cream of Class A football. They have a great program from top to bottom. This years team has all the tools needed to win another Championship.

 

As for FHS looking forward to playing Beechwood, this is true. Because FHS understands to be the best you have to beat the best. We all know Beechwood is the best. Frankfort has been working hard for the last six seasons to build their program as an elite program. They like playing the Danvilles & Beechwoods because they want that same rich tradition and respect. So it is not meant to be disrespectful to Beechwood.

 

As for this years game; It is David vs Goliath. Frankfort hopes the have enough stones to slay the mighty giant.

Alot of us Franklin County fans are cheering for FHS.I think I have a slingshot I can loan you!:thumb:

I respect Beechwood as well, and they've got to be the favorite in this game. I think the winner has to:

 

1 Play mistake free

2 Control the line of scrimmage

 

Who will make less mistakes is hard to predict. Who has a bigger, stronger, more experienced line is generally a matter of fact. That being said, I think you have to give the advantage to the Tigers.

I read all the posts in this thread before I wrote this. I think this game is going to go to Beechwood, but it will be much closer than what apparently many BGP faithful think. I have watched both play this year, and came away very impressed with each team. Also, I expect the score to be something like 28 - 21 in favor of Beechwood.

 

Having said all of that, I am pulling for the upset and backing the Panthers in this game. If all goes well, I will go down to watch this one play out. See you there.

I think the questions were about central Kentucky from some of the northern Kentucky fans. There were quite a few posts from NKY fans who thought Dayton would overpower Frankfort. Most Frankfort fans have a healthy respect for Beechwood, and for good reason: They are a teriffic football team@
