Graybeard, you know I am a huge fan of you and Painter and all the Tomcat posters, but I just don't see how you guys get past this week. I told my wife that it is a shame that this is your reward for playing so well against Dixie. I will say the same thing that I told the Russell fans, prove me wrong and I will enjoy my crow. I am sorry I picked against you guys.

 

 

No worries. My oldest son (played ’04 and ’05) called my youngest son (current player) this week to say that he is jealous of the schedule we are playing now. He would have LOVED to play these guys.

 

We want to play the best teams.

I’ve never been to Highlands and am looking forward to the trip. I hope we can make the game exciting.

As do we Graybeard, this is one reason why Raceland tries to schedule as tough of an out of district schedule as possible in the regular season, we play Ashland, Russell and have had talks with Ironton,Oh.. I understand that a Boyd Co. game is in the works for the Rams in the future as well. Just about every team that Raceland plays besides district is a much bigger school with Ashland, Russell and Greenup having former state championships o their resume.

Playing schools like these prepares us for this time fo the year. :thumb:

Funny, I am impressed that there has already been 3 pages on this thread and it's Monday. I am also impressed by the number of Non-Ashland supporters of the Tomcats. It's nice to have some people on here in support for the other team. One item about last week that I am sure won't happen this week was the poor turnout by fans for BS and for HHS. I was embarassed for our fanbase that we could not fill up the stands for a playoff game for one of the biggest teams I have ever seen. BS was awesome but their fans didn't travel well. I know the band was gone and that's a big void in the stands to fill, but the student section wasn't even full.

 

I am not making any bold predictions only that I hope we win and the funny business that went on prior to the game last week doesn't happen this week. That was poor sportsmanship. I also wish the best of luck to Ashland but unfortunately someone is going to have to feel the wrath of redemption. I think HHS will come out more focused this week and I am certain that they have practiced taking better care of the football after losing 2 of the 5 fumbles on Friday.

I know that not many people will believe me, but Ashland is better then most people, not from North-Eastern Kentucky, thinks. I hope Ashland goes into Northern Kentucky and makes our area proud. I am sure they will no matter what the outcome of the game is.

Highlands will score in the 40's and I say Ashland gets one TD late.

I really like Conner and Crawford, but I think Highland's most productive running tandem this year has been Head and Fennell. I think Highlands should go back to using them again. They run as hard as any backs I have seen and have speed also. Having said that, I think Highlands will beat Ashland with any combination of backs they might choose.

 

From the games I've watched your right, they turned out over 700 yards of offense in several of there games with the 3 backs rotating. You never new were it was going to come from and that makes for exciding football.

Highlands will win by 3 TD's. No disrespect for Ashland, I've seen both teams play, and Ashland is not in the same level as HHS.

 

HHS played bad against BS, that was overconfidence, looking past the first two rounds, weather, and trying to put Josh back into the system after being out for several weeks. This is a top 3 team in the state no matter the level.

 

Lets be real, he missed all 10 games. hasn't practiced since August.
