  1. Oliver Head is probably the most deceptive. Most touchdowns on the team with the fewest touches. Scores every 4th time he gets the ball. Loves to come up and hit on defense. Plays like a kid twice his size. Would be a excellent special team guy at a D1 school.
  2. I find it interesting that he feels change is good, both for the program and for the coach. That to me says more about the man than his record, putting the kids first, his asperrations second. Food for thought.
  3. Football is a contact sport, not to be confused with a weight room or a stationary bike. When a player is not at the top of his game, coaches need to recognize that and react, or a season over.
  4. Lets be real, he missed all 10 games. hasn't practiced since August.
  5. From the games I've watched your right, they turned out over 700 yards of offense in several of there games with the 3 backs rotating. You never new were it was going to come from and that makes for exciding football.
  6. If Highlands comes out with the same game plan were in for a long night. Any defensive coach worth his salt will study last weeks game and see Highlands weekness, soft corners and a back that can't hold on to the ball.
  7. You read my mind... 23's tongue was hanging out the whole second half!
  8. 3 fumbles/ lost 2. the last came on the final drive which fortunatley for highlands #55 scooped up to save the season.
  9. In the November 14th Cincinnati Enquirer article, Coach Mueller states, "We know that it's a one-and-out from here on in - we're 0-0 right now." The Birds are lucky they are not 0-1 since they had 5 fumbles, the most in any playoff game that I've seen.
  10. You're kidding right? The game was placed on a kid that hasn't seen a football field in 10 weeks and it showed.
  11. Looks like you joined the same time I did. So much for a seasoned opinion. What needs to be said is there are plenty of boys at Highlands to carry the ball. Why beat up your quarterback. Check the game tape with 7:30 left in the 3rd qtr. That drive was going to the endzone till they started running TG. Thats drive shows how Highlands could beat a team like Colrain.
  12. For all you sports fans out there, take a look at the Enquirer stats for this week. Collinsworth: 5 carries for 32 yards = 6/carry Head: 4 carries for 19 yards = 5/carry Crawford: 29 carries for 93 yards = 3/carry Guidugli: 44 carries for 107 yards = 2.5/carry Mr. Simpson for SK has 30 carries for 350 yards. Its hard to tell if there's a Mr. Simpson on the team when the Quarterback is your leading ball carrier. Why not let a back carry the ball 30 times in a game and see what stats he can produce? Then the real Mr. Simpson will stand up!
  13. It was shocking to see Highlands revert back to last years offense scheme. TG is not the running QB highlands had last year. One can only think what the outcome could have been if Guidugli had rolled out all night, throwing those short down and outs. Leaving the running to the ample number of tallented Highlands backs.
  14. What's the big deal, it takes 11 boy's to define a team' not one.
