As most of you know, my mother has been really sick for quite a while now. As a matter of fact it will be a year tomorrow. At that time they told us that she only had 2 hours, 2 days or 2 weeks to live. Well my mother is the type of lady that she'll do what she wants to do and not what anyone tells her to do, so she decided that those time frames didn't look to good to her, so she made her own.

 

Last night my siblings pulled everything away from Mom at the advice of her doctors. The only thing they are letting her have is something for her pain. They are telling us that she doesn't know anything and that it will not be long until her death. At the request of her family, her pastor spent a long time with her, just him and her and I know that was a time well spent.

 

Our family believes....no we know...that it will be in God's time and no one other than him can know when he will welcome her home.

 

This has been the most difficult year of my life and this is the hardest morning that I have ever had. We have always known that she wouldn't live much longer but today we know that the time is near and it truly breaks my heart.

 

Please pray that she will shut her eyes, dream a beautiful dream and when she wakes up she will be in heaven with our Heavenly Father.

I am so sorry. I can't even imagine. If you need anything, let me know.

Of course your mother, you and your family are in our prayers RK. You have been a mountain of strength,faith and hope and have been here for anyone in need or with a prayers request of their own.

I sat with my dad, mom and mother-in -law in similar situations, we told them it was ok to go to sleep and that we would see them later on. My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family.

RebelK - Your strength, fortitude and compassion have always been an inspiration. You've put up with an amazing number of trials--one on top of another. I don't know how you've done it.

 

Your mom has put up a hell of a fight over the past year. There was a reason for that; God kept her here a little while longer because she had a little more of his work to do. But now her task has been accomplished. It's time for her to rest.

 

I wish you all the best, as always. I'm here, as is RTS, if there's anything we can do...and even if there isn't. We both look up to you and Mr. RK so much!

My prayers are with you and your family and your mother. Life is not always fair - we strive to be good people and God will look over us for being good people. It sounds to me that your mother is a great person and I'm sure God will make a place for her. May God be with her.

God be with you and yours. I went through this with my mother about 5 years ago. It is so sad.

So sad to hear this, she has suffered long , may she be at peace and your families also. We just lost my mother-in-law last Wed. and she was buried Sun. Such a time and she had suffered greatly this last year. My thoughts are with you and yours.
