I love it and wish I was willing to take the risk and do it full time.

First job I worked was in the Electronics department at K-Mart... That didn't last too long.

 

Then I did Customer Care/Technical Support for Boost Mobile cell phones for a little over a year...

 

Then it was on to the company that currently employs me, doing internet technical support. That lasted from September until March or so.

 

Since then, I'm still with the company, but I've moved on and I now work with one other guy in the Training department. We train everything... Safety, processes, new tools/systems, customer service... We write all material from scratch. There's some travel involved... Tons of meetings, and very little time to look up when I'm at work -- But I absolutely love this job!

I might have to list the jobs I haven't worked...that would be much quicker.

I love that thing. I just mentioned to the Mrs, that that is the coolest ice cream truck ever. I wonder if you come to my neighborhood.

Snappy Tomato's for about 3 days- being a 6"5 tomato wasn't really my thing.

Landscaping around my neighborhood for about 2 years- actually rather lucrative

Cengage (formerly Thomson) Learning on the night shift- good money, got old.

Sticky Fingers Bar & Grill- South Carolina laws allow 18 year olds to serve alcohol, so now I am a server.

Through high school: grocery store cashier/stocker/deli/weekend manager.

College: above, plus college chem lab assistant, gas station cashier and substitute teacher.

Past 12 years: chemistry, physics and astronomy teacher

I sold ladies shoes. I replaced some kid named George Clooney who had some wild dream about going west. Never heard from him again.

High School: Hauled hay, grill cook at a diner, grocery store, and movie rental store

College: Finish Line, Cracker barrell (for a week), Plastic factory, metal factory, Ellis Park, Wal-Mart

Post College: Claim adjuster for over 3 years now:cry:

High School: Any farm task that people would pay for (Baled and put up hay - Set out, harvested, and stripped tobacco - picked beans, corn, cucumbers, and tomatoes - cleaned barns and spread manure) I started working at the Corbin Pizza Hut my senior year, right after football season.

 

Morehead State, Cumberland College, and UK: Janitor at all three schools - clerk at a convenient store called Fast Mart in Tates Creek - helped open the Morehead and Mt. Sterling Pizza Huts and worked both throughout my time at Morehead - during the summers worked at both the Pizza Huts in Corbin and Williamsburg and bagged groceries at the Krogers in the Trademart SS behind the Pizza Hut in Corbin.

 

I've been an electronics technician for Delco Electronics and an electrical engineer for Nokia. I started with my present employer as a production manager and created the IT department about 20 years ago. June 1, I celebrated 25 years with these guys.

High School: Heavy Equipment Operator

 

College: Midnight Shop Supervisor of a contracting company.

 

When I Graduate: Chemical or Power Plant Operator (Control Room Operator)

 

I worked in retail once, I worked in the parts department of an RV store. Working with the public is not for me and I'll never do it again. I have a lot of respect for people who put up with the public everyday.

 

Right after High School I also worked on the rail road for a while. I basically was on a track crew. We did maintenance of the tracks, fixed and replaced them, and put trains back on them after a derailment.

In my formative years:

 

Gas station attendant, construction laborer, lifeguard/swimming instructor, lab assistant, shift worker in alcohol/drug halfway house.
