July 4, 200818 yr I dug ditches for our water system business when I was 14. I worked as a waiter/busboy at Gerber's Cafe in Greenup from 15-18, Giovanni's Pizza in Greenup as a delivery driver for about 6 mths. I worked construction the summer I was 16, and mowed several yards during that time. I hired on with the railroad right after graduating high school and have been here ever since. 11 yrs in and counting. I also haul scrap, junk, anything I can as a side job. I pick up a few car stereo installation jobs here and there as well.
July 4, 200818 yr College years - hostess - resturant call TW Lees in Lexington (no longer there) wasn't my fault. Also during college worked for my fathers company during the summer. After college: Loan department at a bank in Cincinnati. Pro shop at a golf course in South Carolina, double as a bartender. Substitute teacher in South Carolina that actually was a full time job as the Economics/ Geometry/ History teacher for one class for 6 months. The riots at the school pretty much did me in. July 4, 200818 yr Let's see, while I was a pre-high schooler: Babysitting, picking pickles, working in tobacco. As a high schooler Babysitting, working in tobacco, stripping tobacco, picking up hay bales and loading onto trailers. (Which btw, made no sense to me, having watched my grandfather for many years in the field with a trailer hitched up behind the bailer and the bales hooked and stacked as they were created.) After high school: Worked at a place that sold power tools Day Care worker Telemarketing Secretary/Bookkeeper for a construction company Various jobs in a printing company like coallating, bindry, etc. Copying X-rays onto microfiche Payroll clerk for a trucking company For the last 17 years-various jobs in the hospitality industry has been my full time job, the last 8 at my current hotel. Part time jobs in that time: Grocery store clerk Restaurant Server Driver for a casino shuttle Sold Mary K, Tupperware, Avon Barista at Starbucks! I think that's all, but I may have forgotten some.
July 4, 200818 yr Me and my brother started cutting grass when I was 12. We mowed around 15 yards a week. also I worked doing farm work for family members and friends like putting up hay, planting, cutting, housing ,and stripping tobacco. I worked my first public job at ther local Sundry Store when I was a senior in high school. I have been a courtesy clerk (carry out ) for Krogers, I worked 1 hour for Wendy's in Columbus Ohio, Also several months for Frisch's Big Boy. I put in about 3 years midnight shift for a local convienant mart. I managed a convienant mart for about 4 months. I have worked in a deli and bakery baking chicken and frying donuts. I sold parts for a RV dealership for about a year and a half. Most of my work years have been in the custodial / floorcare fields. I owned my own cleaning business briefly. I too feel a great respect toward a great deal of the people who work in the public. I BELIEVE EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE TO WORK AT LEAST 1 YEAR IN THE PUBLIC. It would change some people's views on how they treat public workers. I used to dig graves for a local funeral home. Even have helped move some that a local coal company would run into when they were strip mining on Rt. 207. I have put in about 17 years for the State of Ky. doing custodial and floorcare work. While working for one school I laid blacktop down with a concrete tamper. That was a experience. But the most important and fullfilling (job) if you want to label it a job .. I consider it an honor and privilege ... has been the ministry of mine for the Lord. I was ordained on Dec. 26 1999 .... and have truly enjoyed it very much. Edited July 4, 200818 yr by KYNINERSFAN

Not as a job, but because on our family cemetary on Culp Creek, if you were asked to be a pall bearer, it was part of your duties. Several times I took work clothes with me to the funeral, so that afterwards I could change and fill the grave back in.
