May 19, 200818 yr Those words will never be used in the same sentence... It wasn't in the same sentence
May 20, 200818 yr I am not sure about you guys but i would rather have a guy who plays a good glove, bats .300, hits 20-25 HR's, doesn't strike out in 25% of his at-bats and actually wants to win. Get rid of Dunn for another good pitcher. Plenty of teams have shown you can win without a 40 HR guy.
May 20, 200818 yr Those words will never be used in the same sentence... 5 games, 5 homeruns, Dunn looks pretty consistent right now......How's that?
May 20, 200818 yr Author 5 games, 5 homeruns, Dunn looks pretty consistent right now......How's that? And some want to trade him, go figure.
May 20, 200818 yr 5 games, 5 homeruns, Dunn looks pretty consistent right now......How's that? Well he is batting .231! Consistent? How's that?
May 20, 200818 yr Well he is batting .231! Consistent? How's that? I think you should look at his batting average over the past 10 games. What have you done for me recently is more important than what have you done for me a while ago. It's kinda weird that since he has heated up the Reds have started winning? People can hate on Dunn all they want but the facts remain he has been one of the key reasons the Reds have won 5 out of their last 6 and would be the main reason they won 6 out of 6 had the Reds won last night.
May 20, 200818 yr 5 games, 5 homeruns, Dunn looks pretty consistent right now......How's that? He is the poster child for inconsistancy. Those numbers prove that:thumb:
May 20, 200818 yr And some want to trade him, go figure. Hopefully he keeps it up to add to his trade value:D
May 20, 200818 yr One thing I haven't read is how much is it going to cost to keep Dunn? I know one thing, the Reds can't afford 20 million a year.
May 20, 200818 yr I think the biggest thing with Dunn and the reason everyone wants to get rid of him his because of his salary. People need to realize when you're averaging 40 and 100 a year, you want to be paid for being that caliber of a player. As much as people are bashing the guy he still leads the team in homeruns and RBI.
May 20, 200818 yr They still need to trade Dunn. He does this every year he will play out of his mind and carry us for a month. Thats how he gets that average up to .240-.260 for the year. We need to have a team of guys who consistently get hits. No we aren't a small ball team right now, but you have a team full of Keppinger's, Hopper's, Janish's and Phillips and you can very easily become one.

And Phillips isn't a small-ball player. The Reds need good hitters, period. They don't have enough of them.
May 20, 200818 yr I feel no different. I am excited he is finally doing something this year but I still hope they move him and Griff.

I thought we were talking about consistancy:confused::confused:. Getting hot over a ten game strech is not consistancy. If it was then just about every player in baseball would be consistant. Its what can you do for me for the year? Not what can you do for me for ten games in May. Like someone already said, Dunn does this every year.
