Let us stop with the "refs cost us the game" rhetoric. While there were some questionable calls that can be debated, there were more than enough opportunities for UK to prevail, and that is non-debateable.

I have said time and again, if you establish from the onset the physicality of the game, (like Vernado did,) and always play that way (such as Noah and Horford would), there is going to be a lot more no-calls. If you compare/contrast the way Patterson and Randolph Morris play, Patterson is a lot more physcial, but Randolph would get a lot more of the "phantom" type calls because he was so passive.

As I said in the update thread, I was very impressed with Crawford's effort.

That sounds as a no big deal comment but your regular readers will remember that I have been one of Joe's biggest detractors on here. Called him the worse McD's AA in history.

But last night for the first time in a game I got to watch, he impressed me. I would like to watch more of this Joe Crawford.

That said, watching the game got me to worrying about next season. With Crawford and Bradley gone, does UK improve at all in the personnel department for next season or is it just a repeat of this year.

Remember freshmen will NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY in the BCG system and will be learning and making mistakes like they all did in December.

The next time Jimmy Dykes calls a UK game, someone please remind me not to watch... All I've learned so far watching games that he calls is that Vanardo plays behind post players, UK runs their offense at a 45 degree angle, and they need to work on their traits of toughness...

He's like a broken record...

He also called Bradley "Gimel" at one point.

It was good to see the Cats fight back and get it close at the end. Stewart needs to play more. I don't know what Coury brings to the floor that BCG likes so much, but I haven't seen it. This team is streaky to a fault. If the Wildcats can get more consistent then the SEC season should be a little better.

I had this same discussion with a guy at work this morning. We tried to pencil in a starting lineup for next year and everything that we came up with still had three scorers and two non-scorers on the floor at all times.

Both Dykes and Nessler both screwed up a lot... They'd talk about a foul giving the ball back to Kentucky when obviously the foul was on Kentucky and the ball went to MSU... Things like that irk me.

Funny thing I went to bed thinking the same thing last night. I believe we have Miller and Liggins coming in next season and no way do they give us what we lose with Bradley and Crawford.

You two might want to be scared, very scared, :scared: if you are thinking like me.

Varnado picks up his first foul at 1min31sec left in the game that is a joke. Everytime they showed the replays of his blocked shots ( and they showed them several times) you got to see how many times he fouled. By the way I don't believe anyone has mentioned that Bradley scored 20+ points 5 games in a row. This has not been done since Mashburn was at UK. Ramel does makes some stupid mistakes, but what he does good out ways the bad.

That is an amazing stat.

:scared:Believe me I am.

It's hard to believe they were even in the game considering they got absolutely nothing from the post. Still hard to guage this team since they haven't been playing with a full deck. Gordon is a fine player, and he seems to punish UK when these two meet.

There is more to the game than scoring, but I think stats like that show just how much many people are predisposed to think the worst of Bradley. He makes mistakes, everyone does. He has been the driving force, pretty much the only force, for several of these games.

This team has improved.

Agreed. :thumb:
