A lot of bad calls tonight. Patterson had 2 fouls that would not have been called in a HS game. I couldn't believe it, but in all actuality it worked out well for Kentucky.

Bradley & Crawford were the only 2 who decided to play tonight. Mark Coury needs to realize what he is capable of -- or more importantly, what he's not capable of. He's a disaster. I'd love to see Jared Carter get his minutes...or AJ Stewart.

It still baffles me how Michael Porter can go from starting one game and not get close enough to even sniff the floor for the next two (or was it 3?).

I think Billy G is a little too hard on these guys. I started thinking -- how many times have you seen BCG congratulate a player as he jogs off the court? My count is still at ZERO. I understand what BCG is trying to do, but you've got to be positive, especially during game situations.

All in all, I can't complain with the effort we gave tonight. Playing without Jasper & Meeks is tough. Although it's frustrating, I think this team will be fine once we get everyone back in shape and back healthy...or so I hope.

It's tough beating any team playing 3 on 5.....Coury, Porter, Stevenson are useless.

Did you mean 3 on 8? The officiating was terrible and it had alot to do with the outcome.

Good effort tonight and the Cats are getting better. Learning experience for Patterson and that will probably happen more throughout the SEC. You have to give State some credit they made big plays and shots down the stretch.

First of all I would like to ask BCG if he has heard of or taught his team to shot fake? Secondly the difference was IMO Coach Stansbury had his team better prepared for UK(look at the blocks and turnovers) Miss St. wins by 20 if they shot 65% from the FT line. I think they shot in high 40's. Also Hansboro did not play for Miss St. which hurt them. I will agree Jasper and Meeks hurt more, but Patterson was taken out of the game and Stansbury a KY guy just did a better job the Billy G. Now it is time to watch one of the best in the business disect him up on Saturday.

Tough road game...good effort. And 5 of the worst calls (no calls) I have seen in awhile. I give BCG credit for still being on the bench when he got T'd... I'd have been in the dressing room, and after the press conference, writing a $10,000 check to the league.

We need Meeks and Jasper to win,but we competed well tonight in spite of everything.

I want to see how many of those no-calls their center gets in Knoxville.

As my past posts will show, I'm a huge Ramel fan and love the way he plays. Tonight, however, he made alot of dumb mistakes that contributed to this close loss. Too many times in key situations he came down and either put up a three or drove to the hope with no intent of setting up the offense. I was disappointed to see that.

Umm, Billy...AJ Stewart and the rest of the Commonwealth want to know why he isn't getting Coury's minutes.

I agree! I almost never complain about officiating, but that may have been the worst officiated SEC game I have ever witnessed. When they were praising Varnado and showing replays of all his blocks, there was enough contact to warrant a foul on at least 3 or 4 of them. Jimmy Dykes even commented on it, saying that the officials probably let him by with some contact because he has established himself as a great shot blocker. And how on earth do none of the three officials see the MS player grab and pull down the rim on the drive to the basket? A foul was called, but goaltending should have been called as well, making for a 3 pt. play opportunity.

Aside from that, I'm pleased with what I've seen the last two games effort-wise. With our current roster, we have to have everybody healthy to beat good teams. With Jasper and Meeks on the bench, we simply don't have enough scoring threats. Bradley, Crawford, & PP accounted for 52 of 64 points if I'm not mistaken. We need more scorers and another post presence!

I saw a lot of encouragement Saturday during the game versus Vandy.

Missed the first half...saw the second.

They seem to have taken some strides for the positive and coincidentally it has started with Crawford giving effort on defense.

This team is too offensively challenged when Patterson has to go against two athletic post players and then there is not enough help on the perimeter for Bradley and Crawford.

They still do some silly things on offense...Bradley still forces some things. He had a wide three to tie and he missed it.

State shot horribly from the line for the game, but Vanardo hit them when they needed it.

Getting better...just need to get healthy.
