Hey Boom great avatar! Is that your jersey when you were up on the Hill? I remember you as #15 in blue and white.

Who and what year is that NCC qb? Was that one of Bob's allstars?

OUCH!!!

I know almost nothing about Eicher, other than heresay I've heard from others, so I'll refrain from comment of any sort.

But for what it is worth, CovCath was the top ranked team in 84 and lost in the second round of the playoffs to Danville. It was a pretty big upset at the time.

In '85, CovCath and Highlands both failed to make the playoffs. Newport had a great team and won the old AAA east division in NKY. Lloyd won the West division of the district. Newport beat Lloyd in the playoffs that year. Pretty sure the Wildcats also lost to Danville the next round, but I'm really not sure who beat them.

CovCath didn't have a deep run in either 84 or 85 as I remember it.

Actually Danville was undefeated and ranked #1 in AAA most of the year in 1984. The Ads beat the Colonels rather handily in the Regional Final that year (to those of us in Danville it was far from an upset. The only two teams that threatened them at all were Boyle {rivalry game} and Russell {state semi's at Russell}.) That was one of the best teams I saw in the 80's.

1985 Newport beat Danville in the Regional Final and then lost to Belfry in the Semi-Finals.

Last Friday night might be the last time we are aloud in his private room for BGP viewing. You know what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It serves him right, he always wanted to wear Blue & Gold(Yellow)

The attack dog wasn't attacking either!

I'm pretty sure CovCath went 9 - 1 in 85, losing to Lloyd. Lloyd won the subsectional by virtue of that win.
