Wow! I think people are getting ahead of themselves. This is the Regional Championship isn't it? Maybe not. Anyway don't you think a team has to be pretty good if the are 11-1 and in the final eight of the state in 5A. Hey, I would love to see some of these scores but realistically, I say 45-14.

 

Yes, they were good against "their" opponents so far this season. I would like to see Letcher County Central prove me wrong, but I really don't think its in the cards this week.

 

You've picked a 31 point loss for LCC....What's another 20 points? The Cougars have not seen the amount of speed that Highlands is going to put on the field this coming Friday night. Besides I'll stand by my statement that LLC's schedule was weak.

What amazes me is that only twice did HHS surrender more than 14 points to an opponent, and the two times this happened occurred in the first two games of the season (one being against a non-KY school). The most anyone put up on the Birds' defense was 21, in week 1! When you keep in mind the overall quality of their schedule, and the fact that in several games this year the subs played significant minutes for HHS, the defensive performance has been truly remarkable.

 

So far this postseason, Highlands has outscored its two opponents 90-0!

 

Highlands may end up getting beat by someone in the next few weeks, but I will say that in order to do this, the opposing team will have to shut down HHS' offense, because there's no way anyone is going to light up the Highlands defense.

I agree, there is now way!! From Ft Thomas it's a little over 2 hours to the Corbin exit. At least that's how long it took us in 2004 on our way to log mountain. So to make it to Whitehead has to be at least 4 to 4 1/2. I don't know though, sometimes we have the one special driver that likes to get-r-done!!!!
