Do you have to pretend to roll over and play dead to have class? If he thinks the score will be lopsided so what? So do a lot of fans around the State. He was not trying to rub anything in, simply stating an opinion.

 

If you have a different opinion about the outcome of the game, post it. Then, next week, we can all see who was right. My question of you next week will be; if he was right and the game turns out to be a lopsided affair, will you still consider his prediction to be classless?

These LCC kids have acomplished a lot in only three years in existence. After two back to back 4-6 seasons these kids are 11-1. Instead of knocking them and stating how bad you're gonna beat them---why not show a little class and be happy for BOTH teams and their success. Highlands didn't get to where they are in a year or two. Let's be proud of all our kids who are going to the third round. But then--be a butt if that is your desire. I chose to congradulate both LCC and Highlands on great years.

 

Please stop saying that they have only been in existence 3 years....Whitesburg has had football a very long time and Fleming Neon has too. Witesburg has fielded some of the best teams in the mountians....so stop with the new football program.:fight:

This Birds team will respect every team they come up against. The Seniors for Highlands are laser focused and will not be caught looking past any team.

If they win this coming week vs. LCC, who is their likely opponent before they go to state and most likely meet BG?

Not 'bout the girly comment... but the holes by the entire O-line were just simply awesome. If the play was destined over center or over the right or left line positions - the holes were consistent and just plain beautifull. After watching the game film last evening - Terry O'b did an outstanding job blocking downfield on play after play. The young man just stays with the blocks as if he was stuck to the defenders with super glue! Also, "Sparky" Draper did his usual and customary splendid job of downfield blocking as well. The fellas efforts makes short destined runs into multi-yard touchdown romps!

Highlands has to beat Letcher County Central. If they win that one, they would play the winner of the Johnson Central/Lincoln County game. The winner of that game would travel to Louisville for the state championship.

I was only sort of being funny. If that truly is their offense, practice against a squad that does it better. Although, they don't hit and some guys are playing both ways so it would be hard to mirror but...
