I have not seen JC this year. Just got to read about them. I have seen Belfry. No doubt they win the 3A title -- save some sort of fluke or melt-down. From what I've seen and read, JC seems to have the more potent offense; but I think the Pirate D swings the W to Belfry.

Surprised to see the voting and pickin going as it has thus far.

 

I think JC should be a 7 point favorite in this one.

Central is currently WAY too injury-riddled to be a favorite in this game. Especially if you watched us play Ashland last night. You look at what Alber did to us up the middle? Unless something drastically changes, Dustin May could run for 300 yards, easy. I love the Golden Eagles as much as anyone, and I'd love to see us win, but this team is nowhere near full strength at the moment and should be an underdog in this road game.

 

Sounds like both teams are injury riddled in this one... I can only hop both teams leave the game as healthy as they enter.

I think this game is going to be a much lower scoring game then some are predicting.

It's too bad that WYMT doesnt have a version of ESPN College Game Day. Cause this would be the game of the week. Could you see Brandon Hensley pull out a mascot head?

Speaking of the PA guy, he is doing a great job of calling the game and giving info. His voice is made for the job and you can tell he is trying really hard to do a good job. He stepped up after the sudden death of Mr Phillips and I know it was a tough thing to do, and he is to be commended for that and for his efforts.

 

My only issue is I wish he would tone it down a little with the cheerleading. He is trying too hard and it just isn't coming off right, IMO. It has been way over the top at times and I think it is offensive for the opposing team, especially when Belfry is winning big.

 

We already have a few dozen cheerleaders, the public address announcer's job is to call the game and give us info about the action. I would much prefer him to just be accurate and professional and save the DJ type antics for another time.

 

I hate a PA guy that "cheerleads" all game long. First down announcements are tolerable, but the rest is just obnoxious noise that takes away from the game. JMO

JC has had a great season and will go a long way in the playoff's, but got to disagree with you on this one Graybeard Belfry is in a league of there own.

I really think that's a crazy prediction. JC deserves much more credit than that. They should be the prohibitive favorite.

Belfry by 2 TD's.

JC is a good team. Just because they run a similiar offense (belly) doesn't mean they run it with the same energy. JC won't like Belfry's toughness.

 

Where did you get your info on JC's size? They have some size, like everybody these days. But JC doesn't have dominating size.

Look at the two schedules and JC should be the favorite by far. Belfry has played absolutely no good teams with the exception of Corbin and maybe Pikeville. JC would beat both of them by 28+. To be honest i am still up in the air on what i think about Belfry. I have watched them three times on TV and am yet to be overly impressed. If JC plays to 90% of their potential i say JC by 21. By the way, for everyone who has said JC can't physically handle Belfry, JC won a very physical game against Wheelersburg who is the most punishing HS football team i've seen in a while.

Good game here I couldn't even pick this one.

This could be the game of the year in the entire state......both teams look really good. Grim is coming off a nice game at Ashland(200+ yards on only 15 carries,or something like that) but I am not puttin money on the eagles though. Belfry and JC, from what I hear, have playmakers on both sides of the ball. I plan on makin the trip down to the CAM from Russell on friday(if we don't have practice that day of course)
