I'm pretty sure Proud Eagle is right, and they are counting a forfeit awarded in the early 90s where Belfry was penalized for using an inelligible player.

No, not for sure. I could be wrong, but to the best of my memory it was around 1990 and it involved a Casey kid who had transfered from Matewan.

That was the first I had heard of it...I was curious for a couple different reasons.

Unless it goes a few overtimes, this should be the first game finished Friday night. The way these two teams run their offenses is pure joy to the smash-mouth football fan. Good luck Pirates and Eagles and stay healthy!

Anyway that score is flipped is about how I see it, too. I don't think either team will be shutout, but I doubt either team will score more than 28 points.

Agreed... Clock will run most of the game

 

Neither team will get out of the 20's IMO.

Matney played at Belfry in 1976,1977,1978....that was under Dick Roddy. Roddy was a pure Power I guy on offense and lived and died with the "44" defense.

 

Matney was a good RB. Very quick.

 

I went to school with Matney he played 4 years for Belfry & he graduated in 1977
