  3. Alex Abner runs the opening kickoff back to give the Maroons a 34-33 advantage with 11:50 to play in the 3rd.
  4. 33-27 SL ahead at the half. Both offenses can only be stopped with self-inflicted wounds.
  5. SL punts it into the endzone and PC takes over @ the 20 with 8:48 to go and Muse goes 63 yards to the 17. And the finishes it off with a 16 yard TD run. With 7:51 to go in the half, PC is up 21-14.
  6. Chris Muse just made the prettiest 21 yd TD run I have seen in a while and the game is tied @14 with 10:38 left in the half.

  13. The Lady Hawks pass their biggest test thus far. AD Slone gets a bucket and the FT with 9.6 seconds left to send Central home victorious.
  14. The game will be played. Pike County Schools were called off this morning; however, the snow is gone and the rain is falling now.
  15. Lady Hawks caught FIRE going 9 of 18 from 3 pt range. Kayla Lowe paced four Lady Hawks with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Kayla Ratliff had 16, AD Slone 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Kayla Pennington had 11.
  16. When did Patterson get hurt? I know it was before the game, but was it on Saturday or sometime between then and last night?
  17. The defending 15th Region Champion Lady Hawks host the Lady Kats in a rematch of the past two years' 15th Regional Semifinals. The Hawks are led by SR all-state candidate Kayla Lowe and her 26 ppg and 8 rpg, JR AD Slone with her 12 ppg and 11.5 rbg, and SO point guard Holly Harris who averages 12 ppg and 7 apg. The Lady Kats are led by SR Sally Roberts, SR Laura Perkins, and JR 3pt specialist Kayla Cantrell.
  18. The Lady Hawks shot 29 percent for the game including 5-24 on 3 pt attempts. Good for them that they were able to get enough stops defensively to keep their double digit advantage.
  19. Kayla Lowe lead the way with a game-high 22 points as well as 12 rebounds. Holly Harris added 9 to go along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. AD Slone struggled offensively, but pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds. The Lady Hawks are back in action tonight as they travel to Salyersville to take on the Lady Hornets from Magoffin County.
  20. The Lady Hawks will display their banners from last year's Final Four run before they play host to 60th District rival Phelps tonight. The Lady Hornets are 3-0 for the 1st time in a decade and are coached by former Mr. Basketball J.R. Vanhoose. Should be a great night for basketball.
  21. Lady Hawks travel to Hyden and come away with a very impressive win. Kayla Lowe paced foiur Hawks in double figures with 28 in only 16 minutes of work. AD Slone had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Lady Hawks are back in action Thursday when they play host to 3-0 Phelps in an early-season 60th District clash.
  22. Lady Hawks travel to Hyden to kick off their season. Leslie comes in after losing their opener at Knott Centrall before defeating Letcher Central and Larence County. Good luck to both teams and safe travel.
