  1. Wow, at least the fans are getting to see some some of the "poetry" of football, if not the physicality of it.
  2. Ouch, I'll see if I can get any info from the Pulaski side.
  3. This game sets the Tigers up to score 630 points if they can keep that average up.....
  4. Thanks Joe! I'm glad that Cole has gotten back in to the game. Hopefully everyone can stay healthy the rest of the way.
  5. That doesn't sound good. Do you know which Maroon it was that hit him?
  6. How has each team scored? I'm going to guess that the Warriors have broken a few BIG plays against Rock's uber-aggressive defense for theirs.
  7. Don't forger Mercer co. Average Joes. Oh ooops, I forgot you guys messed them out of that game.
  8. I agree with you Average Joes, Somerset should have been in the Corbin Middlesboro district and class. I think that would make for a great district. I am still not and will not buy the excuse of travel. Where are Somerset's other non district games?
  9. Your exactly right Keemo. A three game bowl with all three local schools playing a visitor would be the best. Then we could all root for our local teams to win every game. My opinion( which isn't worth a penny) Somerset would get more respect from the county if they had not previously played in one of the weakest districts in the state and then dodge a tough AA district so they could beat up on jackson and Casey co. Somerset is the only high school in the state who chose to play up in class. Why is that?
  10. Hello everyone, long time no speak. Considering it is so close to the Ray Correl Bowl it was time to come out of my cave. Pulaski will have to play a great game to beat Somerset. Stopping the running of Kenny Hughes and the recieving of John Cole will not be an easy task. Believe me when I say, Pulaski has the weapons to shut Somerset down. I am looking forward to a great overall contest where high school football in Pulaski County is on display. What a great night it will be. Good luck to all teams and let the best teams win.
  11. 5...Belfry 3...Danville 3...BG 1...Nelson 1...Bell 1...Manual 1...Beechwood 1...Boone 1...Lafayette 1...Tates Creek Tie-Breaker: 37
  12. The Maroons haven't beaten the Jumpers in a while, but if the breaks go their way, anything can happen in a rivalry game.
  13. All I can say for Billy G is that he WON'T FIND an Iowa State, or a Baylor, or a Nebraska, or a Colorado, or a Missouri in the SEC. Those schools made up almost 1/2 of the Big 12. And besides, having Kentucky on your jersey is a little different than A & M.
  14. If you were the coach, then you'd spend a lot of time looking for open jobs.
  15. I would just give Joe C. and Ramel their walking papers and be done with them. You may lose some games, but you wouldn't have to watch bad shot after bad shot after bad shot.
  16. Haley Ratliff from Pike Central has scored over 2600 points in her high school basketball career. She was selected to play on a traveling team with 26 of the top volleyball players on a trip to Hawaii. She has qualified for State in the 100 meter dash in track and she plays SS and bats lead-off for the Lady Hawk softball team. If she wants to play, let her play. By keeping her from playing you will make her resent the sports she does play. Maybe not now, but at some point in the near future.
  17. Haley Ratliff led three Hawks in double figures with 27. Kayla Lowe and Holly Harris chipped in with 17 and 10, respectively. Both teams advance to the 15th Region Tournament next week at East Kentucky Expo Center.
  18. Haley Ratliff from Pike County Central is "doing it on both ends". For the season she is averaging: 19 ppg, 10 rpg, 5 apg, 5 spg. Her shooting percentages are drastically improved over her previous numbers. Overall FG Percentage is at 50, 3-pt FG % is at 39, FT % is at 83. Her assist to turnover ratio is 2.5:1. All of this while playing with three freshman starters and being the only senior on the team (with only 1 junior who plays any minutes).
  19. Howard had 31 points on 11-27 shooting. Central countered with Haley Ratliff's 17 points (4-10 from the field; 7-8 FT), 15 rebounds, and 7 assists, Kayla Lowe added 16, Kayla Pennington 10, while Hannah Thompson and Abby Coleman each had 9, Kayla Ratliff had 7 and Holly Harris chipped in with 4.
