October 2, 200718 yr Met my husband at Natural Bridge State Park. I worked there in the summer of 1969 and many of his friends worked there. He asked me out several times that summer , but I would not go out with him...didn't like him. In March of the following year we had our first date..at the Sweet 16 State Tourney. In July of 1973 we got married....been married 34 years. Glad I changed my mind about not liking him....

October 3, 200718 yr My spouse was on a date with one of my teammates and I was on a date with another person. Another one of my teammates introduced us and kept on me to go out with him. 31 years later, as of today, we are still going strong. I'm glad I listened to my teammate and dumped the other guy.
October 3, 200718 yr VERY interesting that this thread was made today. Today is me and my wife's 3 year anniversary. :dancingpa My wife and I met at NKU, she was in a sorority that hung around my fraternity all the time. We were engaged for a year and 2 months and married on Oct. 2, 2004. We both took a half day off of work today and just hung out for the day, went to lunch and a movie, it was fun getting away spontaneously and I have the greatest wife ever! :thumb:
October 3, 200718 yr I was a Jr. in High School, and she was a sophomore in 1982. Got married in 85, and still going strong. Didn't really know each other to well, but we ended up at one of those teen dance places on the same sunday evening.
October 3, 200718 yr We briefly saw each other while swimming one summer at Pleasure Isle swimming pool. A team mate said they knew me and could get my phone number (they didn't know me). In September of 1976, we actually did meet each other in Devou Park one fall afternoon and exchanged phone number's. The rest is history - we just celebrated our 30th anniversary.
October 3, 200718 yr I met my wife at work, after already knowing her mother, father and brother for years. My wife actually worked for me for around six months and we became friends during that time. She left for another job about the time of our first date. On our first date I taught her to drive my manual transmission 5.0 Mustang (yeah I wasn't dumb enough to say I taught her how to drive a stick), that was January of 1989 and this coming March we will have be married 18 wonderful years. She is the light of my life and I could never do enough to deserve her. We have lived in 3 states and in 10 different homes during the past 17 years. We have a son 15 and a daughter 6. I love more than anything and try to tell her so each day.
October 3, 200718 yr I might let LN answer this one if he really wants to. He's out of town till Wednesday and I just want to make sure I don't tell the story the wrong way.

October 3, 200718 yr This is weird, but I met my wife at her father's funeral. My brother was dating this one girl and her cousin's father passed away. He needed a ride to the funeral, so since I was off that day, I took him. We met his girlfriend outside at the house where the funeral was being held. And standing there with her was a very beautiful young lady. I asked who she was and he told me. I gave her my condolences and she thanked me. We talked a little, she was crying and I didn't want to be rude and rush off. Did I mention that I hate funerals? , Anyway, we talked for about a 1/2 hour or so. That next week we met up when I took my brother to visit his GF. And things went from there. You crashed a funeral? You sly dog, High Five!:ylsuper:
October 3, 200718 yr I met my wife for the first time when I was about 5 and she was 4. We lived down the street from each other. Her brothers and sisters and I always played together as kids. My mack skills and cherry "Now and Laters" won her over way back then. We first started dating when we got about 14 or 15, but we have been friends almost our whole lives, and have a 21yr old daughter. And 2 nephews and 1 niece that we raise. And I have plenty of inlaws, because my wife has a total of 34 brothers and sisters. And she is still my best friend.
