October 3, 200718 yr In 1969 I was working in a Hotel along with a friend and on Mother Day May 11th his girl friend came over to the Hotel to drop off some clothes she had washed for him. Well to make a long story short, his girl friend, best friend just came along for the ride, and come next Tuesday October 9th, we will be celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary.
October 4, 200718 yr Baseball practice would let out late at Centre College, so I would take BP and head on over to the mess hall and basically eat alone. This cute redhead noticed and began to stay late and watch basketball with me (I was a huge Tark/UNLV fan and she was an Arkansas fan) while I ate my supper, and we would argue about the better team. At some point, I was up late one evening DM'ing a game of Dungeons & Dragons (so help me, I don't want to hear a word from any of you) with 5 or 6 guys, and I get a call from the redhead to come meet her in one of the library audio rooms to "help her with her Humanities." I quickly killed off all of the characters and went to meet her, I got a kiss that night and she came to my game and I hit a 3-run homer the next day (that is not innuendo). She has inspired me ever since.
