Baseballguy
If anyone remembers him, and I'm sure many of you BGP vets do, then you'll be pleased to hear this... The Dixie/KY Colonel alumni who played at Xavier and was drafted by the Bo Sox two years ago, was called up for the first time a few nights ago in a Spring Training game. In his first at-bat, Jay had an RBI single off of the Mets closer, Billy Wagner. It was the Sox' only run of the game... When I heard that earlier this afternoon, I was overwhelmed with a sense of pride to even know the young man. In my opinion, he is the hardest working kid to have ever played in Northern Kentucky, and it just goes to show you what can happen with a die-hard dedication to the game. I'm still in a bit of awe, but just thought I'd share the info with the rest of you who haven't heard yet. Congrats Jay!
