To keep any rumors from running wild, I just spoke to an authortative source and got the word that the ACL injury to the knee is serious enough to end JV's high school career. Really sad for a great kid and his family as well as the Russell faithful. Best wishes to the VanHoose family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hate to see this happen to anyone, but seems more magnified at tournament time of the young man's senior year.

Well I certainly hope he can recover and get ready for basketball season next year at Evansville.

I feel for this kid, thats very sad news. I've never been a Russell fan but I always made sure I got on here or checked the paper to see how many points he had. He's a great shooter.I was looking forward to seeing him make another run at a regional title. Hope the surgery and recovery goes well for him.
