The Brewer recruitment is getting more play than it should. UK said they wanted to evaluate him some more at the summer camps. The kid didn't wait and verballed to Florida. If Brewer really wanted UK he would have waited. It was never UK thought he was not good enough...they just wanted some more evaluation time.

They could not close the deal on a couple other big recruits that offseason, and Carter was plan B. For as bad as Carter may be, I still feel he could be a little more productive than anyone in this Senior class with some development.
February 18, 200719 yr I would take Neltner over every PF that we have. Neltner hustles and does the little things like REBOUND and SHOOT FOR A HIGH PERCENTAGE!!!!! She - Ray is terrible and Bobby Perry is way to inconsistant.....End of story.

Carter, Jasper, Meeks, Stevenson, Porter, D. Perry, Harris, Coury I too think Carter has some potential. I think this year off could REALLY help him. He's got decent instinct, decent hands, and is more aggressive than Woo/Shag/Morris combined.

February 18, 200719 yr Our juniors are not the problem. We have a winner........................the recruiting problems lie in the senior and sophomore classes. I was pretty sure that Lofton would be a big time college player, but I have been wrong on many others that I thought would be and some others that I thought could never be(Eric Daniels & Ravi Moss come quickly to mind).
February 18, 200719 yr Thanks for the contract offer Mitch. Bottom line is Sheray Thomas does not HAVE to score for our team. He plays VERY solid defense and he can pull down a board in traffic very well. Neltner is a little girl who stands outside and shoots 3's all day. That is the LAST thing we need. Sheray Thomas Ala stats: 20 min. FG-0-3, Reb-1, FT-0-0, Asst-1, Fouls-4, TO-2 Pts-0! Man thats impressive. I'd take anyone that leaves fog on the mirror over that!

February 18, 200719 yr You can't be mad at Sheray Thomas for lack of effort. This season and definitely the last month or so I haven't seen a player play and hustle and do all the little things better than he has. Just doesn't have the major high level talent that some unrealistic people would like for him to have. I am proud to have Thomas wearing that Kentucky jersey across his chest. Sheray Thomas is terrible and should not be a scholarship player at KY. He's TERRIBLE!!!
