February 18, 200719 yr :thumb: For next year, UK will have 8 players in the sophmore class. Carter, Jasper, Meeks, Stevenson, Porter, D. Perry, Harris, Coury I too think Carter has some potential. I think this year off could REALLY help him. He's got decent instinct, decent hands, and is more aggressive than Woo/Shag/Morris combined. He had last year off. I don't think he's going to be very good.

February 18, 200719 yr If Tubby would have picked Brewer, a McDonald's All-American, and Lofton, a lowly ranked player that no big-time program wanted, people would be whining that we didn't get the most "top-tier" players. Therefore, Tubby went for Crawford, Rondo, and Morris, all McDonald's All-Americans, and Ramel Bradley, a 4-star player. A lot of this has to do with what has happened since they've been in college, and no one was able to judge that before the scholarships were offered, we just got the raw end of it. While I agree with what you are saying. It is the Coaches job to develop the talent they get. Not many guys come to college already at the top of the their game. Of course a few do but not many. It is the Coaches job to get them to the level.
February 18, 200719 yr What is this round 29034030843048334803483 of we should have signed this player?? Hindsite is 20/20! I don't buy that attitude. Tubby Smith makes 2 million dollars a year and should be able to keep us from having this discussion. There's a reason our recruits don't pan out. We miss and players don't get that much better under Tubby. We thought Morris had improved, but all it was was he was in shape. Now he's very average again. He takes plays, quarters, and games off. That's gotta be on coaching. KY is pretty bad and KY is going to be terrible next year unless certain things happen. Do you except terrible? Should the Bengals have stayed with Klinger and Akili Smith, or should they have moved on. When there's a problem you fix it. Tubby claimed he was fixing things last year and did next to nothing with his staff. Nothing is fixed. They aren't better. It wasn't Rondo's fault. It's not Morris and Crawford and Bradley. If they are part of the problem(which they are) then where is the root. Come on now all these things fall back on the coach. If Morris leaves and Patterson goes elsewhere and KY goes 500 next year will you look for the problem?

Players come and go yet UK still has the same problem year in & year out. There is only one common factor and that is the coaching staff. I know everyone gets tired of hearing Tubby needs to go yadda yadda etc... but this is a MSG board that people paid $ to give their Opinions and voice their concerns or gripes. If people don't want to continue to read or listen to it. Don't come into the thread or post about it. Sorry about the rant but tired of people hassling others about what they think or posting the same things over and over. They paid their $$ to have a right to do that if they want like it or not. In the end it is just basketball and it is everyones OPINIONS.

February 18, 200719 yr I am not saying there isn't a problem but how many times can we possibly have this discussion. Are you hear to discuss or critisize discussions? Maybe we should all just stop posting. Or everyone can say, "tough loss" and leave it at that. That would be a sweet sports discussion board. You don't have to post in EVERY thread(unless you are trying to pass someone else in posts).

My point is there are probably 30-50 threads discussing the same things. If you think my sole purpose of posting is to get ahead of you then you might want to check your ego.
February 18, 200719 yr Are you serious?    Definately! He's always getting called for backing people down. He definately needs some work, but at least he can catch a pass thrown to him.

If you think my sole purpose of posting is to get ahead of you then you might want to check your ego. It was actually 2 weeks ago. You are now 800 posts ahead. I have been posting. You are averaging between 55-60 posts a day more than me in that period. I've probably made 30 posts today. I have maybe missed 1 or 2 days of posting. I would say that at least 100 of your posts were about KY fans posting about losses, and critisizing discussions.....Smile..... Leave the computer.... Go get dinner or something....... I would say you've probably made 3 posts while I was making this one.....
February 19, 200719 yr Author I went back and looked at rivals.com. Brewer was 6'7" in high school and was a 4 star rated player. He didn't grow after he got to UF he just developed. A novel and seemingly foreign concept at UK. Lets forget about Bradley, Crawford, and Morris. Would you take Neltner, Brewer, or Lofton over Adam Williams? I really can't wait for the justification for this decision.

Not much to justify. Adam Williams was not very good, but most importantly and relevant to this conversation, Williams is in a different recruiting class.
