The amount of people online worked up about this is wild to me. He’s was the third or fourth best player on a team that nobody enjoyed watching go 22-14. Do I trust Pope can find someone better? Not sure. But for people to act like the whole world is collapsing because a moderate shooter who can’t guard a chair is leaving is unreal to me.

I agree. If rumors are to be believed, he was asking for a STUPID number from UK, a number they were correct in not paying him.

Yes, they are expecting over 3,000 players eventually. That will be over 60% in the portal. About 20% of D1 players have no eligibility left. That puts the expected number to be around 75% of the eligible players in the portal. That seems high but that is the projected number.

That makes sense. As I heard a few weeks ago his wife wanted to get back to living in Utah. So I bet the only way he would have stayed would have been if UK gave him a huge pay day.
