I'm not worried for the reasons you list, but much of the fodder is maybe because he was the ONLY capable shooter on the team. I would put him above "moderate," and he oddly has a clutch gene about him. But he has virtually no ability to create for himself. No sleep will be lost from me if he finds a home elsewhere.

The state of college sports today saddens me. All about money. I read where UK declined to match Chandler's offer from BYU. No loyalty to the school/program. All money. I feel college sports is ruined. My honest take, I know many will disagree. 

Why is Reece Potter still on the roster?

With Pope never being a "Defensive guy" I hope he goes more towards Defensive players. I thought Chandler did shoot the ball exceptionally but, the team as a whole lack defensive effort a lot of times.

Really hoping we Got Miles Byrd but... on to the next.

I think the complete opposite. Which Dan Hurley said it best the other day. He was asked when looking at brining players in. Is he looking at guys who are more sound offensively or defensively. He said he has learn to always go for the offensive guy. As a lot harder to teach a defensive player to play offense, than the other way around. Which is something he learned, because he use to go for those high effort defensive guys. He did say obviously it’s good to have a high effort defensive guy. However, when choosing now he will always go with the offensive guys if having to pick. 
 

Which honestly I think Pope tried to do that this past season. He tried to get more athletic and be better at defense. Yet as we seen his offense didn’t look nearly as good. 
 

If I am Pope I lean into offense and getting guys that fit his system offensively. I do believe he has a coaching spot left open still. I would try to fill that spot with a coach who is known to be a great defensive coach that can teach it.
