Carroll is done in Vegas. Whoever gets this job will be the 16th coach of the Raiders since 2000 (really 15 because Gruden had two stints), and 6th since 2020. What a mess.

Is the Steelers job easily the best job available?

Not even close. No QB. Old roster.

I meant as far as the most stable or best organization with a current opening.

I could see the Ravens being on the same level, not sure about any of the others.

Yes, from that point of view considering 3 coaches in the past 40 or 50 years, Pittsburgh is attractive.

Burrow should goto the media and cry like a baby like Josh Allen did. Then he might get a new coach lol.

I didn't know McDermott was in the Navy. An admiral job? Ok.

It is now being reported that the Dolphins are hiring Green Bay Packers Defensive Coordinator Jeff Hafley.

Don't know much about him. I guess we will have to wait and see. He has been a head coach in college at Boston College.

The Titans are finalizing a deal to make 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh their next head coach.

Saleh has HC experience, he's a very good DC. Will it workout this way.

I think the biggest move is who he hires as the OC for Ward.

Parallel to the Saleh news, apparently Matt Nagy (somehow) was one of the finalists vying for the Titans' job. At the same time this was going on, the Chiefs requested permission from Chicago to interview Eric Bieniemy to reunite with the Chiefs in the OC role. Since Nagy has fully taken over the reins as OC, there has been a noticeable difference in the Chiefs' offensive production. It does not appear Nagy will be retained by KC if he is not able to land a head coaching job.

Hafley was one of the top coaches people were looking at for this cycle. Has had a top 10 defense both years he has been the DC in Green Bay. He actually left the head coaching job at Boston College on his own, in order to be a DC for Green Bay. With this sights being to help his chances to become a head coach. Now how he will do is another question, and as you said we will have to wait and see.

The big thing for him is getting the QB situation figured out there. If I had to guess he will try to get Green Bay's backup QB Willis, to come there to be the QB.
