Oh, no doubt it would be hard. I guess what I should have said behind the likes of Cleveland....is dumpster fires. Them, the Raiders, etc...which are proven grave yard jobs, thus one's that most hot name Coordinator's won't jump at.

Quite honestly he is someone I would love to be the Bengals DC. I would love to see the Bengals get a great proven DC, who has failed as HC. As we have seen with Sprags in Kansas City, those great DC's who failed as HC's stay and don't get taken by other teams. I would love to see that for the Bengals. Morris and Jim Schwartz who may be available now with the Browns firing the head coach, would be two guys I think would be homerun hires as a DC for the Bengals, and wouldn't really have to worry about losing them either IMO.

Carroll is done in Vegas. Whoever gets this job will be the 16th coach of the Raiders since 2000 (really 15 because Gruden had two stints), and 6th since 2020. What a mess.

The Raiders just officially fired Pete Carroll. However they retained their GM.

Also the Arizona Cardinals fired Jonathan Gannon this morning.

If you were a successful coordinator who failed as a Head Coach, why wouldn't you want to go back to life as a coordinator? You have the HC money and now all you have to worry about is one side of the ball. Sign me up for that gig.

The Dallas Cowboys this morning fired the defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus. He has the distinction of being fired as a head coach last year and now fired as a coordinator the very next year.

Browns are keeping Schwartz.

Harbaugh and Ravens are parting ways as in fired just now breaking! I have to think he will be a leading candidate for the other 6 jobs.

Me too, I think he is a very good coach.

Unless they make him the head coach, which is a possibility. Then that is no guarantee, as I’m sure a new head coach probably would want to bring his own guy in if he has someone. Plus Schwartz may not want to stay if he gets passed over for the job. While the owner has said he wants him to stay, he also didn’t say he would be back. Just that he wants him to stay. If Schwartz as to leave, they most likely will let him.

Depending on how the Steelers do this weekend. There is a small chance still that the AFC north has 3 new head coaches next year. If the Steelers lose this week, that would mean they still have not won a playoff game in 11 years. So while Steeler fans may have been happy to win last week, if they once again go one and done. It won’t be a good thing for Tomlin and possibly both parties agree to move on. Which Tomlin like Harbaugh would be one of the top coaches available then.
