Bears 47 Bengals 42

Featured Replies

The most pathetic display of defensive football I have seen in a long while at the professional level.   Neither side should be happy.   I wouldn't care if in 2 weeks, Cincinnati had a new staff and 11 new bodies on the defensive side of the ball.  It could not get any worse.

  • I think I could outmaneuver the Bengals’ “tacklers”. And I fall down a lot.

The Bengals defense is horrendous.  They can't stop anyone.  I think all of us on this forum could probably put up 30+ on this squad.

  • 12 defensive players have been drafted in the last 3 drafts for the Bengals. It’s a drafting and developmental problem.

It’s the bye week. Do we get any changes?

Yes. No points allowed next week.

How the hell do you let up that go ahead TD. This is the worst defense in the history of the sport.

I've heard of the Tampa 2, but that was the Cincinnati Zero. Really bad defense.

I’m not usually this kind of a person, but if I were an offensive player, I would be finger pointing. Can an entire offense ask to be traded?

We were saying that. Told my son they might have a brawl in the locker room.

No.  I expect to see plenty of Bye 49 Bengals 45 memes floating around this week.

I'm not even mad. This outcome was predictable.

It was losing after apparently having snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, coming from 14 down in a matter of minutes, only to lose, is the killer, gut-wrenching story of this loss.

I’m in pretty strong agreement with @Voice of Reason about not being too bothered by the losing. On the other hand, I don’t believe that the Bengals are deserving of having Flacco as a quarterback. Al Golden has shown his ceiling as a defensive coordinator at the NFL level and I seriously don’t believe that a defensive player of the first string shouldn’t be an NFL starting defensive player with exception to Hendrickson. At this point, I’m on board with trading Hendrickson and Higgins. As much as some may not want to hear it, Flacco has glaringly shown Burrow’s weakness with his issues of getting rid of the ball more quickly. You can only blame the OL so much, Flacco has done just fine.

It is disgusting when your offense averages 40 points a game over the past two games and the team doesn’t have a win to show for it.

And I will repeat my response in that thread. Yes, it would be worse. This defense would be better with another defensive coordinator. It is the DC more than the players that has led to the defense being this bad. The defense would still be below average with the players we have, but it would not be this bad with another DC.

If Golden is fired, it will be the front office doing it. Taylor will not fire Golden.

From previous year posts, it appears the Bengals have a total of 4 personnel scouts vs NFL average of 20+.  If this is remotely accurate it explains it pretty clearly.

Isn’t Hendrickson only onboard for 2025?  Unless tagged next year.  If so, who would give any value picks to take on the remainder of his $30million with the back issues keeping him on the bench.  Bengals have to kick in money.  Does that happen in NFL?

I got a good chuckle from this one. Might as well laugh. I do feel bad for Joe Flacco.image.thumb.png.39da137e65f8f19e49445391d5f1682d.png
