All about the jimmys and Joe’s. I would not run a 5 man front. I was pointing out the two defenses are vastly different. 

For CovCath to make a deep run in the playoffs they have to be able to throw the ball.  They can’t with any consistency.  
The only thing stopping Highlands is if they choose not to put ball in Lorenzen’s hands at QB.

I thought Beechwood should’ve run a 50 front. They were using 3 on the D-Line and were getting gashed! Lineman were getting to the 2nd level with ease making the LB’s non existent. Stop Harney and Geiser running, learn how to tackle and maybe you have a different game. Not saying they would’ve won, but it would’ve been closer till the end. CCH was dominant on the line of scrimmage. Stack the box and make them beat you through the air. Harney and Geiser are excellent runners with great vision. Harney I believe is below average at throwing the ball. Beechwood made NO adjustments for defense. Beechwood has the offense and skill players to beat anyone in 2A, but if they can’t tackle they could be in trouble come Semi’s/State game! They should be doing tackling drills every day till season is over.

Maybe LCA, they beat LexCath who beat Boyle. But still think Beechwood will win State. They hung with CCH for 3 quarters.

100% agree. Our passing game is scary or lack there off. I still feel like we can’t complete anything more than 10 yards down the field. Everything is screen with hopes it breaks for a long run. Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, they didn’t need to pass tonight against Beechwood, they couldn’t stop the run. Highlands will definitely give us trouble. I hate to say this but Highlands is probably the #1 team in 4A right now. They have beaten some good quality opponents. 

Reeves and Lind have been monsters all year! That two headed attack was on full display again last night.

If it was me, I’d run the Iowa State Defense. Not too many HS run their defense. Then once they go two TEs, I’ll bring out the 3-4.

Not sure if any of them is on BW level though...just not sure IMO...

Also… sometimes it’s just the little things like them moving Brady Guard to ILB.  The entire defense has looked different since that happened and he had some really great plays last night.

Normally I’d agree, but when your Qb is a 4.5 athlete with really good vision, that makes up for a lot with his explosiveness. Many drop backs turn into basically punt returns and good luck in space vs him. Cash throws it well enough and I thought Coach Eviston is doing a better job getting him on boot/waggle/sprint out so he can see better. 

Tayden is a 5 flat athlete with under 4 ypc this year on a big sample size despite having 2 massive D1 OL on the right side. Very little margin for error (TFLs, penalties, etc). If that’s your offense, I think Rio is better than what he’s given credit for and it’s important for the birds.

IMO….Queen’s 7 carries was more from being rushed and not able to throw to his receivers.  CCH D-line created that from happening, job well done on CCH’s part.

IMO…Would have been better on the Beechwood Offense if they could have adjusted and gone to Wildcat.  Not having Fryman with more touches to run or hand off to Pabst hurt.
