Final. It is hard to win on the road in the SEC against the #4 ranked team shorthanded and get a horrible game from Oweh. Then on top of that give up 38 points in the paint and 24 points off of Kentucky's turnovers.

Cats have the offense to make a run, especially at full strength.

They do not (currently) have the defense.

And what's crazy is that they have improved defensively, but it isn't near enough, especially without Butler.

Have they really?   Or has it been the offensive level of some of the teams.  Defensively they looked like the old UK tonight.

You beat me to my follow up point. I do think they've improved - slightly - but a team like Alabama has the ability to exploit poor defenses more so than some of Kentucky's recent opponents. I do think a healthy Butler makes them much better defensively but its still a far cry from "enough" when it comes to the postseason.

With the injuries, and playing on a road against a top team. I thought the Cats played about as well as could be hoped for all things considered. At this point just finish this season above .500 in conference and hope you are healthy by tournament time.

Fire power lacking and Williams handling the rock has got to end!! Defensively just not enough effort and understanding the roles there, number one is your man doesn’t beat you to the rim, breaks entire defense down and this team must take care of the ball handlers better or short run in tourney.

This team is showing us the limitations and capabilities that talent and coaching bring to the game.

This team doesn't have enough talent to win a title. Do we all agree on that?

Is Pope's coaching and schemes getting everything out of the talent/ability this team has?

Has Pope made adjustments with what he has to work with this year to get the most out of the team?

I think overall schemes and usage of players and rotations have been pretty good, using timeouts efficiently and scoring at an incredible rate out of timeouts, the defensive part has been lacking and this must improve, without three players for a majority of the season I’m saying good grade for the first year mentor, just one guy’s opinion.

Maybe it’s just where we are, but I can’t wrap my head around a potential 12 or 13 loss team being a top 3 seed.

Crazy.
