Maybe it’s just where we are, but I can’t wrap my head around a potential 12 or 13 loss team being a top 3 seed.

Last I checked UK had the second most quad one wins in the nation. That Is a big factor.

Does UK have any losses that the seeding standards would consider bad losses?

If UK beats OK, LSU and wins their round 1 game in the SEC tournament, I will be surprised if they are lower than a 4 seed.

Right, they check those boxes, but it still doesn’t negate the fact they will have lost as many games as they (presumably) will.

UK has 9 losses right now with 4 regular season games left. If they get to 12 or 13 losses they probably won’t be a top 3 seed then. However, at this moment UK has no bad losses and has a 5 and 2 record against teams in the top 10 in the NET rankings. So UK being 12th currently in the NET ranking and about the last 3 seed is about right at the moment.

I’d guess they split down the stretch and lose in the SEC tournament to get to 12. Hopefully they prove me wrong!

If they split down the stretch. Then I think they would need to at least make the semifinals of the SEC tournament to still have a chance at a 3 seed. However, that may be doubtful too, as we have seen the SEC tournament does very little in regards to changing a teams seed.
