2026 Moeller QB Matt Ponatoski just committed to UK. He intends to play baseball at UK as well.

Was that the only way he would commit? He’s the Mr Football and Basketball this past season  as a junior. No other school willing to let him do both?

I've not heard any indications that UK was the only school willing to allow him to try both.

He will also be a very high MLB draft pick so it will be interesting if he even plays college sports.

Agreed, sounds like he's expected to be a top 25 pick. Which is also interesting, givien the timing of his commitment and the fact that the MLB draft is within the next week.

In the SEC, South Carolina is ranked 14th but has seven 4 stars and Missouri is 15th with four 4 stars. I would say the only school in the SEC clearly worse than UK in 2026 recruits is Auburn.

UL is ranked #30 with five 4 star players.

Vince Marrow gets all those great recruiting classes but it never equals championships.

I'm pretty sure he's in his junior to senior summer and still a year away from the draft.

Vince Marrow isn't/wasn't the problem at UK.

As sad as this is and hate to admit it but after several years of being a middle of the pack team in the loaded SEC I have to admit now and I don't think it is that close that we (Kentucky) are the worst team in the SEC. Some may want to argue Arkansas but I'd think they are 7-10 points better than the Cats.
