What UK player front the late 90s/early 00s displaced his elbow? I thought it was Derek Abney but I’m not sure.

James Whalen. He played TE when Dusty Bonner was our QB. His injury happened in the Music City Bowl against Syracuse.

So how do people feel about this team?  I can't tell you much of anything about them so they could be great or awful and I would have no idea what to expect.

I have zero expectations about this team. Last year's team was a real gut punch to watch and really killed my UK Football enthusiasm. Hopefully they at least come out with some fire and fight and will to prove something to everyone. Last year's team acted like they were coming off of a conference title or something and were already an accomplished team.

I realize this isn't UK but close enough and college holdouts?  

Things are moving even faster than I thought they would.

I know AAU is more of a basketball organization, but it's basically what some folks in those camps have been waiting their entire life for. It's not JUST the athletes trying to get paid, their handlers see $$$ as well. 

Willie Rodriguez TE and Aba Selm 330 pound Olineman are putting in the work at Nevels.

I sure hope the actually use Willie this year. I thought was more than able last year to be a recieving TE. We hear every year how UKs TE room is full of NFL TEs but they hardly use them.

On Friday afternoon, three-star offensive tackle Cameron Miller announced his commitment to the Wildcats. Miller becomes the third new commit for Kentucky this week and the fourth this month. Checking in at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds, the Morton Senior (IN) product chose UK over offers from the likes of Purdue, Indiana, West Virginia, Texas Tech, and more.

With Miller in the fold, he joins four-star OT Jarvis Strickland, three-star ATH Jordan Crutchfield, three-star WR Prince Jean, and three-star WR Davis McCray as the Wildcats’ five 2026 commits thus far. The Yahtzee dice are hot for Kentucky right now despite the recent departure of lead recruiter Vince Marrow to Louisville.

OT Strickland is now committed to UL.

UK has a pretty good recruiting class and might get better if the Moller qb commits tomorrow.

Huh? Currently ranked #52 on 247sports.com. Ranked 13th in the SEC. Vanderbilt has a higher ranked class currently. UK has one 4 star player. In the SEC, South Carolina is ranked 14th but has seven 4 stars and Missouri is 15th with four 4 stars. I would say the only school in the SEC clearly worse than UK in 2026 recruits is Auburn.

UL is ranked #30 with five 4 star players.
