How healthy is O'Cath if Cherico can play and is efffective (been off a few weeks) and 22 from O'cath is healthy, then this will be a dandy of a game.

I think Beechwood may have a slightly better team, but Atwell will be the best player on the field.  

It should be a good one!

I'd be interested to know how many voters were heavily swayed by the semifinals. Before last week, I would have predicted something close to a 50/50 split poll between these two teams.

Hard to say.  Even if Beechwood only won by a point last week I think we would see this poll still favoring the Tigers big. 

Even when Beechwood isn't the more talented team, their well earned reputation for superior preparation and execution can carry them to victory over bigger, faster opponents. 

But when those elements are accompanied by the speed and skill they have this year, the Tigers border on unmanageable. 

Brady Atwell has greater potential to carry a team to a win this weekend than any one single player. As I've often said this year, he's capable of superman stuff. 

Mayfield hit him with a dose of kryptonite last year. Not with defense, but rather an offense he couldn't outscore.

I think we'll see a sequel tomorrow.

I'll take Beechwood in another 2A classic, leaving O-Cath holding the bouquet for a sixth time.

From what I heard he isn’t playing. But I could be wrong. I heard they have 2 starters out, 

How blessed are we to get this showdown in 2A!? Hayden vs Atwell, Beechwood vs Owensboro Catholic, I am excited for this one! 
 

This is by far my favorite game of the KHSAA Playoffs due to the fact we are seeing two amazing teams battle for a state championship. 
 

I won’t dig much into this one but I think this one will heat up Kroger field by lighting up the scoreboard and it is simply going to come down to efficiency and who can win the turnover battle and score that final touchdown! I think if O Cath can find a way to run the ball against this Tiger defense they have a shot, but I don’t think this Beechwood team folds! I’m taking the Tigers in a shootout!

Its finally game time...meaning its time to put up or shut up...if anyone thought for a second this year that these 2 teams were not head and shoulders above anyone else in 2A then as said before on this site it was  ridiculous or they were Ludacris...I agree that this is also my favorite state final game...I am pulling for OC because I just love the play and will of Atwell who almost pulled off a comeback last year against my Cardinals and man I do love the offense and speed of BW who has soo many state championships already....as far as picking a winner sorry I can...hoping for a game to meet its expectations and no one get hurts...
