I truly believed it was his time to go but I didn’t think it would happen this quickly.

I was on the Cal bandwagon but like Rondo said this is Kentucky... hate to see him go but it is what it is...

Not willing to adjust to NIL? He is someone that was pushing for players to get paid before NIL ever came around. Now the thing out of his control was how much UK would help in regards to NIL.

When it comes to UK I am more of a casual/a little above average fan.  Why is this a good move for Coach Cal?

Even though I’m not a fan, I’ve wished them success outside of Louisville. Personally, I don’t see how the move is beneficial for him leaving Kentucky to go to Arkansas. I may be wrong, but don’t see it. I know that many UK fans are happy about it though.

I am happy about it too because the game is changing fast and I don't think Coach Cal is best suited for UK.

I agree totally about the changes and him not being suitable for Kentucky. I just don’t see the jump from Lexington to Arkansas making much, if any difference for him.

I sort of understand.  Money doesn't matter anymore, he has not been successful as of late, he probably isn't going to be successful anymore at UK, and it is time to move on to something new in life.

One thing it does for Cal is it gives him a clean slate as far as his staff goes. Drew Franklin has been vocal the last few weeks about how lazy some of that staff is and they are basically stealing money getting paid for doing nothing. Cal has always been very loyal to his friends and has several on his current staff. He's not firing them but that doesn't mean he has to rehire them either. It will be interesting to see if Bruiser and Chin move on with him.

He leaves on his terms. He would have been let go at the end of next season because he was headed towards another freshman dominated team, and a team set up like that is not going deep in the tournament anymore. Another early tournament exit likely and that would lead to Cal's exit.

I’m very surprised the deal hasn’t been completed yet. Wonder if it’s falling apart

College Game Day on now before the National Title game just reported that the final arrangements are being completed today and will be announced as the Hogs new coach tomorrow. If not by tomorrow afternoon there may be some issues.
