As I understand it, yes, all those teams will go to a bowl. 

Per Matt Jones says that the Cats are heading to the Gator Bowl to play a yet to be named ACC opponent. I think it may be NC State or Clemson. We will see.

It is confirmed by both the SEC and Kentucky that the Cats will play in the Gator Bowl vs. ACC team to be determined.

The reason the Cats don't know who they are playing in the Gator Bowl yet is because the ACC League office has not had their conference call yet with Bowl partners.

This was interesting. 

They said going into it, 4 best teams, not the 4 most deserving.  I'm just surprised they went through with it.

I can’t wait for the 12 team college football playoffs next year. Teams for the first time in college football history can finally enter the season knowing exactly what they have to do to have a shot to compete for a title. Which is next year, if you win your conference championship (power 5) you know you guarantee yourself a shot to compete for a title. While I agree that the committee probably did choose the current 4 best teams for the playoffs this year, which is their job. (Georgia probably better than Washington) I still feel bad for Florida State because they did exactly what they were supposed to do, and that is win every game on their schedule. Yeah maybe they would have gotten drilled in the playoffs,  but IMO they earned the right to have a chance to compete for a title by doing exactly what they were supposed to do and winning every game. People who have been against expanding the playoffs, always argue that it would take away from the regular season, because the regular season is currently like a playoff. If that was the case, then Florida State would be in. College footballs way of determining a champion has always been messed up IMO, but next year it gets much better. Win your conference and you’re in, if you don’t then you are fair game for a committee’s opinion possibly leaving you out if you lose a game or don’t win your conference.

Next year teams finally can go into a season knowing exactly what they have to do to have a shot to compete for a title.

(Florida State probably will get drilled by Georgia now in the bowl game. Still doesn’t change the fact that, they earned the chance to at least compete for a title. That chance was taking away from them this year, because of a messed up system. 12 team playoff should have happened a long time ago.)

Huh? TCU won a playoff game last year by beating Michigan in the semi-finals. So they showed they belonged before getting drilled in the championship.

I’ve seen so many people make that comparison unironically. It makes zero sense.

Just asking a question that I've seen several times today.

Florida State got hosed.   No 2 ways about it.   All they ask is that you win.   FSU did that.   They should have been rewarded for that.  But nope.  Got to suck up to the SEC.

Not sure how to power rank the top 4 seeds each year of the playoffs, but this feels about as weak of a field they’ve had, no? I’ve watched UM a few times this season and never thought juggernaut.

I was just saying something similar about Michigan. They could possibly win it all, but I still don't think they are as dominant as some recent past top seeds.
