Not turning the ball over is always a Beechwood strength. 

On the other side, Beechwood DB's have 22 interceptions. I believe that is #1 in the state.

In Mayfields lone loss this year to undefeated Paducah Tilghman they lost the turnover battle 3-0. I don’t see them losing that game if they don’t have multiple turnovers. I don’t see them losing to anyone if they don’t commit multiple turnovers. But that’s all part of the game. If they turn the ball over 3 times Friday night it will definitely be an uphill battle against another great team.

I hate to even think about questioning Coach Morris, but if JuJu doesn’t get 20 plus carries then he needs to be questioned.

We have played Newport Catholic Central and Walton Verona. Yes , I believe Beechwood is the only NKY team to ever play at War Memorial Stadium.

Not too long ago I chatted with one of the Walton players that played in that game.  He told me Mayfield hit hard and were very tough.

The old saying, of course, is defense wins championships. I just can't overlook the fact that the Beechies gave up over 40 to one middle of the pack team and over 50 to another average team, fortunate to win them both. Great teams don't do this. Yes defense has been lights out since then, but they haven't played anyone either.
