I agree. My main concern with the LCA game being in the 3rd round was the physical and emotional toll it would take on Mayfield, and it did. I just hope our boys can regroup and recover and keep focus. They usually do. It was a physical game with alot of our guys going both ways. Beechwood starters were done at halftime. The neutralizing factor? War Memorial on Thanksgiving weekend. Alumni in town. Stands will be packed and that vibe will be electric.

I’m being nosy but does anyone have the details as to how a home team can stream during the playoffs?  Like how much do they have to pay the KHSAA?

Ask GBR. They have all the details. It definitely will cost some money.

I don't know, but in the past it got more expensive with each round and could be several hundred dollars.  

It is an advertised cost by the KHSAA I believe, so there should not be any secrets here.

Athletes and SPEED.. 

This game will include a couple of track stars. Last years KY State track meet Beechwood WR/CB #2 Luke Erdman placed 2nd in the 100m dash with a time of 11.22. Mayfield Rb #24 Juju Starks was right behind him placing 3rd with 11.26! 
 

I think everyone in the thread has this game wrong. Everyone’s prediction is WAY too low in my opinion. Beechwood can score in 1 play whenever they want. You simply can not guard all of those weapons. After watching Mayfield (for the first time yesterday on video) wow.. they can score quick too. But I saw a lot of throws missed by Mayfield QB that (the best QB in Ky) Clay Hayden would complete. The dude is legit. This should be the championship again. It scares me that beechwood hasn’t played a decent team in months, but I’m obviously going with Beechwood!

Mayfield- 46 (a few missed PAT are likely) 

I don’t think Mayfield will be denied a state championship this year.They are on a mission.

I picked Mayfield over LCA.  Great win.  But to me Beechwood is king of the hill and kryptonite to the Cards.  Any close game always seems to go their way so give me the tigers!  28-24

You’re wrong on that. Just look up the scores when they played.

Here's my 2 cents, which is about all it's worth. IMO, LCA is the most talented team in 2a, but, not the best team. Their secondary and lack of overall team speed is a clear issue, OB Catholic is as explosive offensively as LCA is, but, better defensively. just, not as deep. Beechwood and Mayfield are the most complete teams. They're solid in all facets of the game. Plus, I think they're the best coached teams, which means a lot when, otherwise, it's a fine line comparison.

Let’s go the last 3 games. In 19 Mayfield smoked Beechwood, in 21 Beechwood smoked Mayfield. In 22 A missed extra point is all that separated them. 

High scoring game with a lot of interesting plays! Who makes the turnovers…and who gets a good start?!?

No biggie until playoff time where the KHSAA fees come in to play. They will air the playoff games as long as they get enough donations to cover the cost so hopefully, they will get to cover the Mayfield vs Beechwood game and I imagine they will get enough donations to cover but it's not a guarantee as each round of the playoffs the cost goes up. Anyway, as fans with no strings attached, they get to be themselves or shall I say homers. 

Saw their livestream for the first time last night. Hats off to them. I hope they get the nod to stream the game!
